Nice but a bit of a colonial vibe
Pros:

Fabulous location. Polite staff. Spacious site.

Cons:

Very overpriced. Pool is quite small for number of guests and very shallow. Limited number of loungers available. We couldn’t adjust AC and rooms were freezing. Staff fairly unresponsive on this.

Empfehlenswerte Unterkunft, um den Sigiriya Rock zu besuchen
Pros:

Austattung des Zimmers in der Art einer Cabana in Mitten eines sehr naturreichen Ferienhausparks mit Affen, Varanen,... viel Schatten, angenehme Temperaturen auf dem Gelände, riesiges großzügig gestaltetes Zimmer, sauberes Zimmer, gutes Frühstück, freundliches Auftreten der Mitarbeiter, am Lion's Rock alles fußläufig erreichbar, die Badewanne, Hinweis: Es könnte sein, dass Tiere ins Haus kommen (z. B. Geckos, Ameisen), hat uns aber nicht gestört, gehört zu einem Urlaub in Sri Lanka dazu.

Cons:

Nichts. Man sollte vielleicht nicht viel Wert auf gute Silikonnähte im Bad legen. Für uns passte aber alles perfekt.

Super situation
Pros:

Hôtel idéalement situé (proximité des activités et restaurants).
Petits cottages répartis dans un beau jardin.
Chambre spacieuse et confortable.
Petit-déjeuner sous forme de buffet varié, très bon.

Cons:

Absence de réfrigérateur dans la chambre.
Piscine sous dimensionnée par rapport à la capacité de l’hôtel, équipements vieillissants (transat, parasols )et pas assez de transats

Location to Lions Rock. Spa staff were excellent

Cons:

Buffet dinner was over priced. Swimming pool looks nice but no one sits around the pool which is surprising considering people get up early to climb the rock and explore the area. This is possibly because the pool is very close to the dining area and people don’t want to be watched

Pros:

We stayed 1 night in Sigiriya Village Hotel and it was amazing. The breakfast having with the view of Sigiriya Rock was fantastic. Hotel personnel were helpful and very kind.

Great central location
Pros:

Very clean and nice to have the pool to cool off - the gardens are beautiful and the rooms are nice and quiet. The staff were very helpful. The location is great as you can walk to local shops for dinner if you want
