Group Bookings: A booking of four rooms or more is considered a group booking. For group bookings, the following cancelation fees apply:

More than 30 days before arrival: No cancelation fee. Cancelations must be made at least 30 days prior to the scheduled arrival date to avoid any penalties.

Within 30 days to 7 days before arrival: Cancelations made within this period incur a cancelation fee equivalent to 50% of the total booking cost.

Within 7 days of arrival: Cancelations made within 7 days of the scheduled arrival date are subject to a 100% cancelation fee, with no refunds available.

Final Payment: Final payment for group bookings is required 30 days prior to arrival.

Would absolutely recommend Poroa Hotel!!
Pros:

Very friendly reception, warm and welcoming, were shown to room and explained the property. Also very informative about what was available for some interesting excursions. Short walk to a beautiful beach!
Restaurant available where we had a very delicious meal and excellent service.

Pros:

Der freundliche und vollblut Gastronom der Unterkunft.

Das Essen im Restaurant mit einer ganz lieben deutschen Bedienung.

Hier kann man auch nur zum Esden einstoppen.

Cons:

Es gab 0 auszusetzen, ausser, dass wir nur 1 Nacht hatten zu bleiben.

Very friendly welcome upon arrival from Tamara, who gave us lots of tips of places to visit and even walked us to our room. Spacious 2BRM accommodation with 2-way bathroom. Very clean and well-equipped if you wanted to cook your own meals, however we chose to eat at their restaurant where the food was excellent!.

The staff were friendly and the rooms were large, clean and comfortable.
Pros:

The hotel and restaurant staff were wonderfully friendly. The room was good with an outdoor deck area overlooking a garden. Only the rain stopped us from using it. We used it as a stop over and would use it again.

Was a comfortable comfortable stay and great value for moneywe enjoyed our meal in the restaurant.

One of the top highlights of my stay in New Zealand.
Pros:

Beautiful setting near the sea. Room was spotless and had everything we needed. The restaurant is clearly a favourite with locals and my dinner and breakfast were excellent. But over and above everything is the staff. Bernie was extremely helpful and welcoming and full of interesting local information. His family who now run the business could not have been more helpful. Out of a several weeks stay in New Zealand, I would count the visit to Paroa hotel as one of the top highlights.

Cons:

Its not that I didn't like it but I didnt realise there were no buses out to the hotel. We ended up hitching a lift with a tour bus but should have planned ahead how to get from the station to the hotel. However you get there, it's well worth the trip.
