Laketree Inn And Suites Marion

Quaint. Lake of Egypt area and out of the bustle of Marion proper. A little dated; but pretty good bang for your buck. Rooms are nice. Beds are comfortable and if you want a hint of curry...you may want to bring some.
Stay here - a no nonsense inn.

This was a perfect, inexpensive stay, which is exactly what we needed in the area we needed it to be. Close proximity to Lake Egypt and Marion. Simple, no frills, convenient.

Very clean, nice rooms. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The lodging is located in a more remote area, nice parking lot with lights. A Road Warrior gas station was were we got food and gas, it’s only about a mile away.

This hotel was fine for what it was, a place to sleep on the way to somewhere else. The room was clean, the staff was nice, the place was quiet. It was just an average roadside hotel.

Booked this hotel online while traveling. Owners were very nice. The wife gave me a start of an edible plant she had growing. The room was very clean and you could tell the paint was fresh and tile floor was kept clean
Comfortable mattress. Checkout easy. Will stay again.

Booked a King suite, got 2 double beds. Room smelled "not great", but it was very late by the time we made it in, and we just decided to keep it rather than asking to change rooms and carting all our stuff to who knows where.

This hotel doesn't have an entrance with an overhang, so unless you're lucky enough to get one of the spaces next to the entrance, you can be walking more than usual to bring in your things. No luggage carts. Of course it was raining when we arrived, but at least it wasn't pouring!

Room wasn't exactly squeaky clean either, with a hair in the sink that wasn't ours, and a sticky substance on the table top. Worst thing to deal with was that the shower didn't work - the little thing you pull up to divert water to the shower head was frozen in place and wasn't budging. So it was a bath instead of a shower. Not my preference.

It is pet friendly ($20 fee). Has a very large grassy area right by the hotel, so that was good.

No breakfast offered, just coffee.

Price was very reasonable, but I think I'll pay more next time for something nicer

Stopped here for an extended weekend over the 4th of July. Spent the days at the Lake and slept and showered in the room.

O was pleasantly surprised. Room clean and very spacious.
Very comfortable. . I do recommend the hitel.

Clean but desire more services

A little hidden gem! When we first arrived my husband and I were a little taken back by the looks and tried to cancel our reservation! We were unable to and were both exhausted so we thought we would talk to the staff! SO friendly. They let us look at our room before we even checked in. It was not fancy, but immaculate clean! We were traveling and just wanted a clean, quiet place to stay for the night! And that’s exactly what we got!

Absolutely awful. The entire hotel smelled like urine, the rooms were disgusting, the beds were extremely cheap and uncomfortable with stains on the sheets. I should have cancelled and driven 10 minutes up the road to somewhere else.

This is a horrible hotel, filled with mold and mildew. When I asked for a refund it was refused, I stayed 10 minutes and could stand it no longer. Terrible, Terrible, Terrible!
