Lovely Hotel WiFi a big let down
Pros:

Great location beautiful setting

Cons:

WiFi was rubbish, kept dropping out and due to remote location literally no signal on EE whatsoever.

There for business stay - WiFi caused me issues regarding work.

Floodlight outside on balcony that could not be turned off was annoying, not the light but due to fitment of the curtains allowed too much light under and over the top for my liking so the room was not dark enough. Better curtains or switch to turn off the floodlight with as much wattage as our sun!

A lovely 2 day stay with no issues. Thank you.
Pros:

Convenient location with good parking, friendly staff and adequate facilities. Not considered top tier but perfectly adequate. Thanks for the 2 days stay with our 4 year old. Would be be happy to stay again if in the area.

Cons:

Children not permitted to use the pool after 10:00am. I understand the perceived philosophy of looking after adult guests but as there were multiple adults in the pool each day first thing in the morning then it seemed unnecessarily punitive for well behaved & supervised water babies. Maybe make the place adults only if you wish, I’d understand that more.

Lovely afternoon tea
Pros:

We had a lovely afternoon tea this afternoon. My mum is gluten free and she said how nice the sandwiches and cakes were, really fresh!

We normally have afternoon tea in London and we were very impressed.

The waiter was very attentive and took the time to go through each of the sandwiches and cakes.

Would definitely recommend!

Der Spa Bereich war veraltet und nicht sauber. Die Sauna und das Dampfbad sehr veraltet.

Die Dusche im Zimmer war verstopft, wurde aber auf Nachfrage repariert

Great stay at a lovely hotel
Pros:

So, prior to coming we had read the poor reviews, mainly about the spa.
Let me give my full unfiltered review.
The hotel staff are amazing. Attentive to detail and nothing is too much trouble.
We were pleasantly suprised with the spa. It was clean and faultless. Everything worked, hot tub was lovely. Sauna and Steam room wet
Re the hottest I've ever experienced and so nice!
Pool was perfect temperature and crystal clear.
We both had full body massages and this wad amazing.
The food was exquisite and eloquently served in the restaurant.
And finally, our room which was a suite was out of this world.
We wanted to take the bed home as comfiest 2 nights sleep ever.
All in all, a fantastic stay at a lovely hotel on beautiful grounds.
We will return in the summer for sure!
