Sehr schöner 5-Nächte-Urlaub in St. Vigil im Hotel Mareo Dolomites

Das Frühstück und das optional zu buchende Nachtessen war sehr lecker, feine Küche, danke der ganzen Küchenmannschaft. Die Lage des Hotels ist für Ruhe suchende ohne Verkehrslärm sehr zu empfehlen. Wir hatten ein schönes mit Holzboden ausgestattetes Zimmer mit Blick in die Natur von St. Vigil. Nebst der immer freundlichen Familie Clara, auch ein aufgestelltes und zuvorkommendes Mitarbeiter-Team. Grosser Parkplatz und für die Bikes ein abgeschlossener Raum! Vielen Dank, wir haben uns sehr Wohl gefühlt.

Pros:

What we liked most was the room with the bathtub. The bath was fantastic, and the view of the mountains from it made it even more special. The toiletries were also excellent—high-quality soap, body wash, and shampoo.

The wellness facilities were another highlight. The swimming pool and saunas were perfect for relaxing after a long hike in the Dolomites. We both had a massage treatment, and it was outstanding—truly 10/10.

Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice, and the breakfast staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay.

Cons:

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay, but there are a couple of areas that could be improved.

We chose the set dinner menu one evening without checking it in advance. The salad bar was excellent, the soup was very good, and the dessert was delicious. However, we were disappointed with the main course. The meat option was liver, with pork loin as the alternative. Since we don’t eat pork and also don’t enjoy organ meats, our only other choice was a simple vegetarian bruschetta, which felt quite limited for a hotel of this standard.

It would be great if the restaurant could offer a wider variety of main courses, such as chicken or fish, to accommodate guests with different dietary preferences or cultural and religious restrictions. We think this would make the dining experience more enjoyable for a broader range of visitors.

A small suggestion for the rooms would be to provide a kettle for making tea or coffee in the evening. It’s certainly not essential, but it would be a nice extra that would make the stay even more comfortable.
