We stayed at the hotel as most of the hotels around Birmingham NEC were occupied and needed a place to stay .First experience it looks like a rundown place.external look as a first impression was unacceptable. We then went inside no air freshener in the corridor. We were not informed about the change of management and the hotel is going through refurbishment. The room allocated to us was on the first floor with no telephone in the room also no fire escape plan on the door bathroom door was hanging on angle no bathroom exhaust system, bathroom windows were broken cracked and some handles were broken and also mould on the corner of bathtub. Wallpaper pealing off the wall only one thing good was bed was made with fresh towels.bathroom was mouldy .no telephone in the room .Cracked flooring, bed also was sinking in the middle , cobwebs all around hanging from cleaning.Worn out carpet .Well there was TV but not antenna 📡.the room looked like not dusted for ages and was locked for ages.definately not worth for money.
About the breakfast- we were served a plated full English breakfast.hashbrown were smelly and soggy looked like reheated and refried .The croissants were smelly and oily and smelling like metal tray smell.Baked Beans were tasting margarine, burnt filter coffee .only good was milk a bit cold.glasses for juices were sticky at the bottom.youghurts were not in ice bed so were of room temperature 🌡️.Only toast and butter was good to eat.baccon was cooked well that was the only breakfast item worth eating.Staff arguing in the middle of the restaurant.
price and location....and quiet
young lady on reception is an absoulte credit to the hotel
smart friendley and engaging...11/10
buidling works
Unfortunately nothing caught my attention.the hotel needs a serious refurb.they should not be operating in such a situation.
The room was cold and dirty .I could write on the lamp due to the amount of dust.lucky I was not allergic to dust.it looked like it was not cleaned apart from the bed.I made.could find approx 15 inch cobwebs around the room.crackling floor in bathroom and all around the room.wall paper was pealing off the wall in the room.burnt black filter coffee.yoghurt was on room temperature not put on bed of ice to keep cold.preplated breakfast was awful greasy and tastles.seriously not worth of money
No noise, building have good potential to turn around. They shouldn't rent out room that need refurbishment.
Carpet is filthy can't walk barefoot.
The room was really large. It’s a beautiful building with lots of character. We had a beautiful meal in the attached restaurant/ pub which was also very lovely. Can’t wait to go again
The Sri Lankan food is fabulous.
Paying extra for parking was a bit disappointing.
We just checked out yesterday morning ❤️ the best hotel I stayed! I have 11 years hospitality experience and is really difficult to had home feeling but your place managing expectations 🌸
Quiet
Amazing room
Very Families staff
Looking forward to stay again next month for husband birthday 🎂
Hopefully you will make some bbq events as garden has massive potential 😍
Arrived not sure ...left fully missed the place ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Very reasonable price. Good value for money generally
It's not shown as The Warwick Hotel. The sign outside says the Warwickshire Hotel and The Phantom Coachman so we drove past five times before we found it. Building works are in progress which isn't an issue but should be highlighted
The location
In the middle of renovations, dusty, the shower was rusty, plug hole had other peoples hair in it. The view was a bush with cheap curtains.
The staff were all excellent, good service and nothing was too much to ask.
Out of the way.
The hotel staff were friendly and the attached pub was cosy. The food was also very good with good sized portions.
The hotel is undergoing and very much needed refurbishment. It is quite dated and there are a lot of areas that have significant age related issues.
The rooms that my friend and I had, were out the back and really seemed like it was an old staff area that had some beds put in them. The windows were frosted like a bathroom. My room door was the same with a frosted window.
That said as the hotel was under refurbishment the rooms were only £36.00 per night, including breakfast, and suites out means for the time we were there.
Rooms were spacious.
Staff friendly.
Accommodating to intolerances.
Hotel:
Needs a lot of work doing
Hotel signage had the old hotels name. (we were advised they had recently taken over but discovered this was had happened over a year ago.
Seemed under staffed only seeing two people the whole time we were there.
Bar & Breakfast:
Our cooked breakfast two days in a row was wrong
The second day bread was stail for the toaster.
Staff seemed to be inexperienced when running the bar and breakfast.
Dining tables/ chair were in disrepair including one chair with a broken leg
Shouting and screaming coming from the kitchen during breakfast
Rooms:
Nice but over cluttered we had 8 mirrors and 7 mirrors in the other. Plus mirrors on every section of the wall on the way to one (just looked cluttered)
Beds were made but not very well
Rooms were clean but not cleaned during stay including to have to request fresh towels
Key card for the room failed daily
Staff nice and friendly
The BED site light, as the wire was exposed, if I had touched this i could have been seriously hurt.
Informed the front desk.
At least I would of expexted the Manager to come and see me, but this did not happen.
Lovely staff
Location
Carpet was dirty room smelt of damp. Change room was given. Staff were good .
Location, ok but no shops near by.
Very nice staff and taste breakfast
The structure is quite old and bathrooms all have mould
Quirky old farmhouse vibes in the bar vs the newer parts of hotel
Our bathroom. Door didn’t close o so we had to
