Thumrin Hotel

Das Hotel bietet geräumige Zimmer mit allem was man braucht. Es ist insgesamt etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Zimmer waren allerdings kürzlich renoviert. Der Aufenthalt dort ist angenehm.
Die Lage in Bahnhofsnähe ist sehr gut. Es gibt genügend Restaurants in der Nähe. Transportmöglichkeiten mittels Tuk-Tuk sind stets verfügbar.

Abit outdated hotel, but im not complaining. Super convenient location

When I take the night train to Trang I always stay at Thumrin because it is big enough to always have a room available for early check-in. Decor and furnishings a little long in the tooth but who cares at this price. Corner rooms have nice view but all the windows can challenge the air-con.

Kurzer Aufenthalt, freundlicher Empfang, riesen Zimmer und Bad. Etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber trotzdem sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Das frisch zubereitete Omelette beim Frühstück war Weltklasse!

Located nearby Trang train station which you can find a small night market. The hotel is on Rama-6 street which is the main city road so that it's easy to go anywhere in Trang.
Thammarin Hotel s opened since 1996 so it might not be new and look modern like nowadays other hotel's style. Anyway, it can meet a good standard of the hotel even it looks a bit old (Just a bit).

One thing to complain about is that there s not much power outlet in a room!

Hotel represents value for money, located in a good position near the railway station close to restaurants, bars and tour operators.
Staff helpfull.
Little English spoken in the hot as well as the local area.
Wifi in the room was very spasmodic and required frequent logins.
The hotel was clean but in need of some TLC.
There was also no in-room safe or tea/coffee making facilities in the room as written in the room description.

Very much a budget hotel but it is located near the railway station and surrounded by places to eat. The room was clean and the aircon was cold, it could do with an update but for the price it is satisfactory.
Could recommend it to anyone who just wants a clean place to sleep.

You can tell when you first enter the lobby of this hotel that it was probably once the grande dame of Trang, but those days are sadly long past. The restaurant is long shuttered, the rooms are in need of an upgrade, and there are times when you might feel like you are the hotel's only guests, but the fine portrait of King Chulalongkhorn still hangs proudly behind the front desk. I was there about 10 years ago when the restaurant was still open, and the place was bustling with both tourists and locals, they served a nice buffet breakfast, they even had a separate coffee shop and their own tour desk. I returned last December, and everything was closed. But I will tell you why I still like it. The daytime staff was very helpful and pleasant, they provide an inexpensive shuttle to the airport, and the location is perfect if you want to book a tour to the Trang islands (there are a couple of tour companies right next door). The hotel is also situated near the train station, which has a decent night market, and many reasonably priced restaurants in the area with menus in English. There is also a 7-11 across the street. Although the hotel no longer serves breakfast, they do offer free coffee and milo with Trang's famously delicious pastries, khanom pia. I think it's a very nice touch for such an inexpensive hotel. And they have a lift, which some of the older hotels in the area do not have.

I like location easy to walk around the city, The hotel very old and internet wifi very slow.

Hotelkamer is erg basic, wel airco. Warm water was niet erg warm. Het ontbijt bestond uit een aantal cakejes en oploskoffie. Als tussenovernachting van 1 nacht is wel goed te doen, maar niet voor een week.
