Convenient to Peterborough. Has bar & restaurant which looked ok - didn't use them though.
Heater worked.
TV ok. Tea & Coffee making facilities good.
Bed was the lumpiest ever slept in. Mixer tap back to front. In need of money being invested in rooms.
Bathroom very shabby.
Friendly staff. Very convenient. Superb sausages
It was fine
Great
Noise from the road
Everything. We got married here 2 years ago and still love it as much as we did back then. It’s such a cosy building, bed was really comfortable & the food was amazing. The staff are lovely & friendly. Honestly my favourite place.
Nothing at all
Lovely location. Near Stamford and Burghley House which are worth a visit. Stunning! Room prices very reasonable. Nice bar/restaurant.
Staff were rushed off their feet but very friendly.
Very convenient location, great price for dinner bed & breakfast, and our dogs were welcome. Plenty of parking. Vicky(?) on reception/bar/restaurant duty was a star, so welcoming and efficient.
Road noise (yes I know….! Epic fail on my part) But it was a price worth paying for the convenience.
Very nice spacious room and bathroom with view over fields. Lots of car parking.
Very comfortable bed
Didn’t stop for breakfast or dinner. For the price we paid it was all fine. Good for parking. Pleased with our stay and pleasant staff, easy checking and out.
Location not so good as getting off the A1 you need to slowdown a lot before you can turn in as traffic traveling at 70mph can be difficult.
Location
Fryer oil needed changing for handcut chips and breakfast sausage was hard, so microwaved.
Comfortable room around the back so no noise from the road. Very helpful staff who went the extra mile. Good value.
The open space for dog and bar area
The dog-friendly rooms are dingy and in need of modernisation
The property looks beautiful and there's ample parking. The bar and dining area were comfortable and warm. The staff were very friendly.
First of all my room wasn't ready - and I arrived at about 6pm. The hotel has the dual carriageway running right past it. The food I'm afraid to say was quite awful. The prawns were ok, but the salmon and noodles were overcooked, tasteless, wet and inedible.
The location was useful, the car park was convenient and the staff were friendly,.
The room didnt look anything like the pictures online, it was much worse. It was very old fashioned and shabby with yellow pine furniture, a very old saggy bed, artex wallpaper from the 70s, a shabby carpet and a poor bathroom with very old fittings and a shower curtain. I think picture 45 might be the desk from this room, but the rest looked much worse than all the others. The wifi was poor and intermittent, and the bath tap was leaking hot water constantly, so much so that the room was steamed up the following morning.
Calming and relaxing
A coat hook on the back of the door would be great and on the bathroom door 😊
