The Ohioan Hotel and Event Center

Very pleasant atmosphere. Very friendly.
We had an awesome gathering for the OTA conference.
Room was large and very comfortable.
Allot of time, money and effort us put into keeping the facilities clean and comfortable.
However, for as much as you put into the comfort and cleanliness, the coffee seriously is no good at all. Change your coffee vendor.

Excellent accommodations and food! The front desk staff was very helpful and worked with our check-out time. I look forward to staying there again for next year's conference!

Positive experience. The hotel is not built for old people, but what would have been a very difficult walk for two 86 year olds to the dining room for a wedding reception was avoided when the hotel provided a golf cart and driver. We did make the walk for breakfast next day but took great effort.
The only negative is that upon arrival my wife was desperate for a cup of decaf and the in-room coffee maker defied understanding, Over engineered, extremely complicated, and ultimately resulted in bag of grains in the cup. In addition the coffee bags do not say which is decaf

Location worked out well for my plans for the weekend.

Nice place, parking was tough, and there was no onsite food or a place to eat dinner. When I asked the front desk they said the "Pub" was under construction, and there was a makeshift location. He explained where it was, but I found myself wandering around with a bunch of other people who also could not find it. We finally did, I ordered a drink and asked for a food menu and was told there was no food to order. This should have been pointed out on the website and should have been relayed when checking in or making the reservation. I was here for work and after a long day it's nice to be able to sit down and have a meal onsite without having to drive and search for a place. The bartenders at the "Pub" were super nice however.

The rooms were very nice, and clean, so that is a positive for sure. They also said the rooms would be cleaned everyday unless we decline that service, which is a nice touch these days.

Oh, I tried to check out at around 5:50 AM as I had to catch a flight and there was no one at the front desk for at least 5 minutes or longer. There was just a sign that said we stepped away. I finally just left my room key on the front desk hoping it would be taken care of. A key drop box or online checkout would be handy if this happens a lot.

Hotel is beautiful, room was very comfortable, breakfast was great....but the coffee situation in the room is too complicated. A simple Keurig or coffee pot is recommended.

Staff and everything was nice

We've stayed here several times and I love the proximity to downtown and shopping while being off the beaten path. Also breakfast is fantastic! We ran into a small maintenance issue and it was resolved within 15 minutes of calling the front desk.

Stayed here because this is where are convention was taking place. I have stayed here before the renovation and was unimpressed and honestly I still am unimpressed.
At check in the lady had the personality of a rock, however on check out the staff member was very polite and nice. The lobby was very nicely remodeled and was cozy with the fireplace.
The rooms themself are just so small, especially the bathroom. The sink area was so tiny I had to sit my items on the closet shelf, the sink overflow drain also had an awful odor and every time we ran water in the sink it smelled like garbage. There is also no door to the sink area so my husband was still sleeping and I had to turn on all the lights to get ready for work like it was Christmas.
The Shower and Toilet are in a room alone, shower was small, water was not overly hot but the worst part is there is not one shelf in the shower to set any of your personal items on. SO you have to leave them on the shower floor.
The Bed was hard as a rock with small lumpy pillows, the fridge seemed to be on the fritz one minute it was 39 degrees and the next 51 degrees so nothing stayed cold. There was also no room safe. It would also be nice to have a small arm chair or small sofa, any place to sit beside your bed or a small desk chair. The Room itself was clean which I appreciate and the new carpet was nice and cozy.
I did use the fitness center and it could use an update, treadmills are old and the weights are also old.
The actual conference center was very nice, clean and modern.
I also am not a fan of the location, nothing in walking distance, you have to drive to get lunch, dinner or coffee.
Overall I would not pick to stay here, if you are staying for leisure there are much nicer hotels in the Polaris or Worthington Area.

We used the center to host a business meeting. Staff were great, rates were good, and they even accommodated some last minute adjustments. Thanks.

Clean

We hosted our baby shower in the Edgewater room. The space was beautiful, the food was AMAZING, and the staff were great to work with. Ben was our event coordinator and made sure everything went smoothly.

The service was excellent

We booked the Edgewater Room for a rehearsal dinner.
Ben was very easy to work with, professional, and quick to respond to any questions, changes and correspondence.
The room was set up ahead of schedule allowing us extra time for decor placement.
The kitchen staff did an amazing job. The food was fantastic and they kept the buffet filled at all times.

Everything was smooth and the staff did an amazing job making us feel welcome.
