Ein, Zweimal und dann ist man Raus, so auch dieses Hotel
Cons:

War das 2e Mal in dieses Hotel, erste mal war auch nicht ein Plus, aber mann muss jeder eine 2e change geben.

Wenn man über 300 € für eine Nacht in einem ansonsten schönen Zimmer zahlt und nicht einmal eine gekühlte Flasche Wasser vorfindet, finde ich das sehr enttäuschend.

Ich nutze regelmäßig andere Van der Valk Hotels in den Niederlanden sowie andere Hotels (z. B. das Bilderberg), und dort bekommt man für einen deutlich günstigeren Zimmerpreis einen Kühlschrank mit einer kleinen Auswahl an Getränken.

Auf meine Nachfrage, warum das hier nicht der Fall sei, erhielt ich die Antwort: „Sie hätten ja in die Bar gehen können, und Van der Valk füllt den Kühlschrank aus Umweltgründen absichtlich nicht auf.“

Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass in einer so gut organisierten Kette, in der Beständigkeit oberste Priorität hat, nur das Hotel Houten sich an eine solche Vereinbarung hält, während die anderen Hotels der Gruppe (z. B. Vianen, Eindhoven, Best, Urmond/Stein) davon abweichen.

Der Feueralarm um 3 Uhr morgens und die Aufforderung, das Hotel so schnell wie möglich zu verlassen, trugen auch nicht gerade zu einem positiven Erlebnis bei. Dass es sich um einen Fehlalarm handelte, liegt außerhalb jeglicher Kontrolle. Hätte man die Gäste jedoch ohne weitere Informationen draußen warten lassen und ihnen anschließend nichts angeboten, wäre der unruhige Schlaf zumindest wettgemacht worden. Doch auch das geschah nicht.

Diese Erfahrung wird zweifellos ein einmaliges und sehr individuelles Erlebnis bleiben. Ich werde sicherlich wieder in anderen Van der Valk Hotels übernachten, aber nicht in diesem. Das Gesamtergebnis ist dafür nicht positiv genug.
