Pros:

Stunning garden setting with sizeable pool, just the right distance from the hubbub of the town centre

Pros:

This hotel needs some major maintenance, we understand that the conditions in Ubud make it difficult with the humidity but the hotel looks like it hasn't had anything done to maintain it since it was built. Having said that there was plenty of hot water and the pressure was good. Pool and villas need updating.

Friendly staff, great location, big pool
Pros:

The fair-sized villas and the real 'swimming' pool make this quiet place a good starting point for your Ubud discovery.
In walking distance to town, market and rice fields.

Off the beaten path with gorgeous garden views
Pros:

It's off the beaten path from the usual villas near the City Centre, Ubud Palace, and Monkey Forest. The grounds with extensive gardens is what I was most fond of, with a close second is the lovely swimming pool. I spent plenty of time swimming in the pool while soaking in the beauty of the gardens. I also spent time just sitting in the outdoor living room outside of my room just staring at the garden. Breakfast was also spent just soaking in the quiet and beautiful views.

I wasn't a fan of the amenities in the rooms. The TV is old with limited channels. The bathroom could use some renovations. The bedding (including pillows) had this fucky smell of sweat and massage oils.

I loved the eateries nearby from Juno's (love their fruit bowls and smoothies), Warang Alami (Japanese deli), and Alchemy. I didn't have much desire to check out the crazy busy tourist spots in Ubud and preferred the low-key energy of the neighborhood.

The staff were friendly and always available. I was able to book a massage within minutes. I befriended one of their staff (Baruk) who took me around Ubud on his motorbike. As a woman traveling alone, I felt safe and well taken care of.

The oddness of the bed room could've been a deal breaker for me but the friendly staff and beautiful grounds heavily outweighed it.

Pretty but disappointing
Pros:

The hotel looked lovely, very peaceful however it was very run down and the room needed a good clean, there was an infestation of bugs that looked like cotton fluff. The pool was murky. Disappointing as it really is a great setting in a good spot.

Quiet location outside Ubud.
Pros:

The hotel is tucked away off a busy road not far from Ubud. We started by walking in & out to Ubud but quickly realised that a scooter or taxi was safer. However, there were beautiful walks in this area through paddy fields and off the roadside.
The hotel staff and amenities were very good, although the bathrooms and lighting in the bedrooms was poor (tired & outdated) and do require modernisation.
The gardens, pool and staff are excellent. The price is good for what you get but this hotel really needs a bit of TLC from whoever owns it, as it has so many fantastic things about it!

Damp, hotel pool is open to the public, staff odd
Pros:

I booked this hotel as I wanted a shuttle service to town and a pool. The shuttle service was discontinued after I booked but before I stayed, but the hotel never bothered to email and inform. Once I arrived I had paid for 7 days and could not cancel. They provided a shuttle one day as compensation (1 day out of 7!) The first room I had was incredibly damp, little worked, there was a strong smell of mushroom smell outside the window and empty vodka bottles strewn behind visible from the bathroom. The reception people kept pretending they had fixed all the parts of the room that didn't work, nothing had actually been fixed. The place was basically empty. After finding that my balcony was to be used as a waiting room for the spa I was 'upgraded'. A very overlooked room, no outside space, water in the shower smelt as if the water tank needed a serious clean out, it didn't feel like I was cleaning myself using it! I would have preferred the previous room with all its broken facilities except for the damp, the pages of my book were almost sodden just from being in the room! (Healthy for people?)Breakfast is incredibly minimal, almost comical. I found the staff unpredictable, sometimes helpful, sometimes really unpleasant. There was a 'gardener' who seemed to go into peoples rooms when they were not there. Overall I would describe it as a creepy place. I didn't feel comfortable the whole time. The pool is open to the public, so not just for hotel guests.

Oasis and pool at D'Omah
Pros:

A very relaxing and beautiful holiday at this hotel. Very caring and responsive staff who made my stay both charming and memorable. The beauty of it is that it felt very Balinese with daily blessings and special menus from time to time but the quality of my stay was increased ten-fold by the level of care and attention from the staff. No request refused, and a genuine desire to recommend great activities and experiences without being pushy.
I loved the authentic atmosphere and the friendly vibe. The pool is brilliant and open twelve hours a day. There are great snacks and breakfasts and a busy hubbub of bars and restaurants not far away. The garden and surrounding pools with fish and hanging vines is well maintained and very soothing to look out from your verandah with a beer or two. Around the pool it's similarly surrounded by canopied couches and lounges you can really hang out reading, swimming and chatting and it never felt crowded.

Wouldn't stay again
Pros:

This place was very very average for the price. I would have expected this hotel to be $30 per night, not $60. Everything was old, no fridge in room, terrible bathroom plumbing and the "garden view" was nothing to rave about. Also the breakfast was served cold. Admittedly we did get the extras we ordered with breakfast free when we complained.

D'omah
Pros:

d'Omah was nice but probably not as good value as other nearby accomodation. Needed to run the gauntlet of taxi drivers on the way in, one of whom were pretty pesky as Bali taxi drivers go, actually detracted from stay.

Charming, quiet with amazing breakfasts
Pros:

We felt very at home here, charming place at the quieter end of town (walkable to restaurants and so on). The included breakfast was the best we've had (really impressive in fact). The staff were friendly and helpful. Wifi worked fine if you were in the reception area. We stayed in the Garden room, with a pretty pond outside, a big room with a king bed, really nice. Some parts of the room and grounds, pool etc were getting a little in need of some repair, but it added to the charm really and wasn't a problem at all. We booked for 2 night but ended up staying for 4 as we liked it so much.

Excellent Boutique Hotel, Good Location, Friendly
Pros:

We were very happy with out stay. The staff were very friendly and the room was small but nicely presented and decorated. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel and the food was very good. The female manager spoke fluent English and was very nice to us. The pool is a good size, quite large and clean. We walked into the town during the day (15 minutes) and back again and we walked into the town for dinner. On the way to town there are also small eateries, a chocolate bakery and a few restaurants and stalls. We ate at a fantastic restaurant called Bridges, only a 7 minute walk from the hotel. We felt safe at the hotel and we would both return and recommend it. It is a reasonably priced option close to town. It's worth noting there was no shuttle service at all when we visited.

A Hidden Gem.
Pros:

We really liked our stay here. Even with an extra bed in the room we still had plenty of space. The gardens and grounds are really nice and the staff super helpful and friendly. It is in walking distance to town and the markets but if you don't want to walk the hotel provides a free shuttle as well. Great place. Would stay here again for sure.

Lovely hotel
Pros:

Our Lanai suite was large & airy the upper floor amongst the tree tops. The Hotel is set in a gorgeous garden with a 20m pool (good for laps) in a quiet location. Breakfast was ordinary and limited. Staff were very accommodating and friendly helping me with phone calls to locate my lost glasses, arranging drivers etc. The location is about 10 mins walk along a busy road from the town centre and there were numerous restaurants and a few small shops in the immediate area. We hired scooters to travel around as the town is quite big - traffic is hideous around Monkey Rd & Ubud's centre so care is needed to navigate. This hotel will appeal to those who want an oasis away from the noise & crowds but still within easy walk to main street. Fantastic yoga classes are available on site on Tuesday s & Thursdays for a small charge. Would definitely stay again.

Pleasant hotel with a laid back style
Pros:

I stayed here with my husband and 2 adult kids. The general condition of the hotel is a bit tired but it is still very comfortable and the restaurant meals were very good. Also, good latte. The staff were all helpful and very friendly. There isn't a TV in the basic villas but that didn't worry us. We had our own verandah where we sat and played cards or read. The Wifi is limited to the reception area which is the only negative I can report.

Relaxed and intimate
Pros:

Great value for money and peaceful environment.

I liked the food and restaurant. Getting two rooms to accommodate your children would be recommended.
East to organise transport.

Good for family holiday
Pros:

Great setting for an extended family holiday. We had four rooms two in a villa one side of a pool and two on the other side. No immediate neighbours. Staff were fantastic - specially to young children aged two to six. But place badly in need of maintenance (chipped pool tiles and surrounds), Beds a bit hard and air con noisy.

Lovely staff but inconsistent
Pros:

Lovely gardens, lovely staff.
The rooms were clean but it was very unclear when booking that we only had one room when we wanted 2 so that was very squeezy with the 4 of us on one room.
The food was nice, though it came from the restaurant up the hill (outside the hotel!) so there was a constant back and forwards of food and drinks. As a consequence the food was rarely hot or even warm. The toast in the mornings was stone cold.
Apart from the food we were very happy with the service and the hotel overall.

Serene & Welcoming
Pros:

Having just returned home, I cannot speak highly enough as to my stay at the D'omah.

I booked an upstairs verandah suite, along with the request that a small welcoming gift of some kind be prepared, as our day of arrival was also my wife's birthday.

I was very pleasantly surprised to find our room prepared as requested, plus hotel staff hidden away within our ensuite, awaiting the chance to surprise my wife with a birthday cake, red roses, and a warming rendition of happy birthday..........far exceeding any expectations I had.

The hotel is undergoing a minor refurbishment, just to freshen up appearances, yet painters and groundsmen maintain a very low profile so as not to disturb guests.

Hotel staff are amazing. They will do everything within their power to ensure your stay is pleasurable, your questions are answered, and your needs are catered to.....should you need anything or be unsure of anything, simply ask your hotel staff, as you will then receive good, honest advice, service and courtesy.

Food, location, cleanliness, pools, grounds, facilities and gardens are all above the normal by Balinese standards, and the hotel is well situated heading towards the more upmarket Campuhan region.

In 12 months time I return to Bali, and due to the pleasurable experience I encountered, I will also again be returning to D'omah Hotel, regardless of the many other accomodation options available in Bali.

clean quiet great service
Pros:

I've been to Ubud many times. This place is very quiet and can only hear the exceptionally loud motor bike. Solitude is what you'll get.

Clean level is between Bali clean and western clean.

Food prices are very reasonable.

Staff is well trained.

A lot of mosquitoes in this area.

I would visit again
