We were disappointed with our recent stay at Ibis Styles Canberra as it did not meet the 4-star standard we expected.
Check-in involved a very long queue with only one staff member assisting guests. Our first room had a strong unpleasant smell, and despite trying to call reception multiple times, we had to return downstairs to report it as the phone went to voicemail.
After waiting for assistance that never arrived, we were moved to another room. While better, it still had visible mould on the curtains, no bathroom fan, and a window that would not close properly. We were also disturbed early in the morning by noise from the room above.
Overall, this was not the comfortable experience we had hoped for after a long journey. We wanted to raise these concerns and would appreciate your response.

A reasonable stay for the price and location
Pros:

The room I stayed in was comfortable and had basic facilities suck as kettle,cups and spoons. The linen was clean and looked around 2010 era styling.

Cons:

The property was fine other than the shower bath and mould in the bathroom.

Even though shower was dirty I would stay again as it is everything we need.
Pros:

Bed was very comfortable, linen and towels were lovely and clean plenty of tea and coffee.

Cons:

No teaspoons, shower was filthy mould and scum and over the shower door . A little bit of mould on tiles is acceptable but this was just not clean.

Good with major disappointments.
Pros:

I like the location of the motel being close to the road to Cooma. The rooms were clean as usual the staff helpful.

Cons:

The main entry into the accommodation blocks were inexplicably also the rubbish depository. Why on earth would anyone leave the area around the entrance in such a disgustingly dirty and untidy state. It defies believe. Very disappointing especially considering the rooms, amenities and other parts of the motel were well up to standard. Please do something about this.

Great location.
Pros:

Hallways to rooms need a tidy up. Rooms could also use a refurb. Location was perfect for us, the buffet breakfast was minimalist. Had what i wanted bacon eggs and sausages. But pancakes had run out before we even got there, which was quite early, so the wife and daughter weren't happy. Bed was soft, check in and out easy. You get what you pay for.

Comfortable affordable place to stay
