It advertises it is a 4 star hotel but is far below that level. Main problems included:

1. Appallingly slow wifi internet - it was so bad I could not reliably watch video or streaming TV. This is quite unacceptable for 2026

2. The safe did not work in the room and talking to many guests who stayed there, theirs did not work either so it is hard to believe the management is not aware of this problem despite advertising they have rooms fitted with a safe.
I asked for mine to be fixed. They said they couldn't so offered to find another room. After a long time the finally came back to me to say that they will replace the safe instead. Then after a wait a person came and replaced the same with another safe that ALSO did not work. So they used up my entire afternoon waiting around for responses and fixes that did not actually work.

3. One of my room key cards didn't work. I went down to reception to fix it and they said it was fixed but it still didn't work so needed to be changed again. Then on a daily basis the key card would stop working for no clear reason needing to be fixed each day. I never knew which of my key cards were going to work at any given time on any given day.

4. A relative was very sick and I had to take her to hospital. Because of this I asked for a late checkout. They declined then after much resistance they finally only gave me just 1hr late checkout knowing full well why I needed it. This I felt showed a lack of compassion and understanding. I know late check outs are not guaranteed but most places you can usually get 1hr late checkout with minimal fuss at no cost if needed. For them to make such a fuss to finally give me only 1hr late checkout despite me having to take a sick relative to hospital was very disappointing. It created a lot of stress while I was at the hospital. A service focussed place would usually bend over backwards to do what they can to accommodate a guest who is truly in need on compassionate grounds.

Everything was okay for me. On weekends evening there might be some functions at the hotel and the parking space might be limited.

The room layout, furniture and electrical appliances in the room are a bit outdated. Probably can be improved with modern layout and furniture to meet current demand. However, the room is clean and cozy.

The room cleaning policy - There will not provide daily cleaning, rather there have change the policy to only clean the room every 2 days. But when request to change the towels etc, it took ages. i.e., One or two occasions, i left the room at 0800 and request my room to be change or replace on items, by the time i return at 1700, it was not done.

Parking - The hotel stated that free parking. However, most of the spaces are rented out and used it as PAYG for other publics. On many occasions when i return to hotel during the working weeks (Mon-Fri), I could not get a single space and sometimes have to tour rounds and rounds for at least 20 mins in order to get a space.
