This is a solid choice if you’re looking for a well-located, affordable place with warm hospitality
Pros:

I stayed at Hotel Bon Accueil over Christmas and had a really pleasant experience overall.
What stood out the most was the owners; they are friendly, kind, and genuinely hospitable. Easy to talk to and very welcoming, which made the stay feel comfortable and human.
The hotel offers great value for the price. The location is very convenient:
-about a 4–5 minute walk to Berri-Uquam metro station
-close to the bus stop to the airport
-easy to get around the city

I also appreciated the microwave in the lobby, which was perfect for warming up food and meeting basic daily needs. -The room doesn’t have a hairdryer, but you can ask the owner for one. The front desk is available 24/7. Overall, simple and practical.

A few practical things to note:
It’s best to bring your own shampoo and body wash. I didn’t bring enough, and while they do provide a small bar soap, it’s quite tiny.
There are no slippers, so if you usually wear slippers indoors, bring your own.
The building has stairs only, no elevator, so keep this in mind if you have heavy luggage.
The building itself is older, so soundproofing isn’t perfect. At night, noise from nearby rooms can be heard, and light sleepers may want to take note.

I paid for 4 nights but stayed for 2 nights and went to another hotel.
Pros:

The room lacked the basic things like working TV, bed was too small, cheap shower gel in the bathroom, no microwave and iron pls ironing board.

Cons:

The size of the room and the poor internet facility.

VERY DISHONEST OWNERS. I asked to see the room before booking, and the owner's wife showed me photos online of a very clean spacious room with modern-looking bed and bathroom. After I paid, the room I got looked nothing like the room in the photos she showed
me - room was very small and looked very old, like an alcove in an old attic. The building looks very run down, there is no lift so you have to use the stairs that are too narrow and can be dangerous.
