Crowne Plaza Danang by IHG

This review is for the connections Lobby Bar at Crowne Plaza. Everyone at this bar was so professional. The Manager, Scofield, was very accommodating. For a hotel lobby bar, I felt welcomed and appreciated. Huge thanks to this staff to take such good care of me. The biggest highlight to this team was Trixie. She was constantly smiling and had the best energy which brightened my day. Everything about the hotel was also top notch. The included breakfast buffet was fantastic. The support staff for the swimming pool took very good care of me. And my room was huge and well air conditioned and well appointed and very comfortable. I had a partial view of the ocean and the swimming pool which was quite lovely. I would highly recommend this hotel to any of my friends or family and I wouldn't hesitate to come and stay here again.

We drove up with the soundtrack of Jurassic Park playing in the background. We entered the lobby and went back into the Ancient Times in Southeast Asia with an added twist of modern architecture. The concierge greets you immediately with tea and a warm damp cloth. Check-In was stress-free. We were given a mini tour of where all the amenities were located and then to our rooms where are luggage followed. Our room was so spacious and so much storage to hide our luggage. Super Clean! The landscaping here was incredible. Like Fantasy Island. The same grass on the Golf Courses (Bermuda). So many secluded lounge chairs for families and couples with and without Umbrellas. Their private beach has soft clean white sand, as if they paid Poseidon himself to ensure no sea trash washes upon the shore because this beach is immaculate! And the breakfast SPREAD!!!! So much variety! Indian, local, Asian, American Pancakes and Waffles Oh My! And veggies! Steamed, Sautéed! We ate like Kings & Queens! We loved it so much we extended for 5 more days! This is a MUST VISIT PLACE IN Da Nang Vietnam! Oh and if you have kids, they have a kids zone huge yurt that has toys! Perfect for Families.

Excellent Staff and Service with a smile. You can not go wrong in Vietnam. Not even one bad incident in our 10 days of stay. Greatly enjoyed. The Front Office Manager RUBY and her team were always helpful. Promised them that we would return next year. Wow experience.

Best hotel I've stayed in. EVERYTHING IS JUST AWSOME HERE LIKE EVERYTHING. Highly recommendable . Rooms are exceptionally beautiful with beach view and obviously beach.

This is a very large luxury resort, very well appointed decor. However, there were a few minor niggles which stopped it getting 5/5.

Pros:
Design, the lobby definitely has the wow factor when you walk in, the rooms are very luxurious too.

Food, the hotel has one super large restaurant that does all the food throughout the day, it’s buffet style, but they have à la carte options too. Breakfast was really good with a vast range of food offerings.

There is a seafood and Korean restaurant on site, but we didn’t try it.

Beach access, you’re right on the beach. Which would be amazing in better seasons, but not in winter (not the hotel’s fault!)

Rooms, we had a 1-bedroom suite, which was huge! It had an indoor and outdoor jacuzzi, steam room, two toilets, and a kitchenette. Really loved this room.

Cons:

These are small niggly bits, but I also stayed in another Crowne Plaza in Vietnam and regularly stay in other premium/luxury hotels. So it’s a valid comparison.

Non-heated pools, it’s winter in Da Nang, it’s only 20 degrees and the pools are freezing, really disappointing.

Spa:
The spa is a bit average at best, only simple 45-min treatments. A resort of this size and calibre should have a luxury spa.

Breakfast, now if you’re Korean/Vietnamese, you’ll be fine. But I feel the Western offerings were a bit lacklustre, although we still got by. The biggest disappointment was no Italian coffee! They only offered filter coffee.

Balcony jacuzzi, our suite had one of these, only pumped out cold water and could have done with a clean as leaves and foliage were on the bottom.

Biggest gripe was they refused to accept food and beverage vouchers which I get through my IHG membership, and this hotel is part of the IHG group!

Absolute garbage the Chinese restaurant inside the hotel broke my husband's tooth on some Chinese chicken that clearly did not state that there was bones in it. Spoke to hotel management to explain that not only did we have to pay for a fully eaten meal that we barley touched but now dental work for a broken tooth. We got offered cake? No refund ? If they are wondering why they are at low capacity perhaps take a better look. Mini mart people dont take a card and couldn't speak English or explain why. Also no conditioner or moisturiser provided in bathrooms. Try a 3 star rating. Stay somewhere else.

Hotel really bacautiful. Staff are friendly and help us a lot when I came to hotel they check in fast and can speak so many langue so I think really convenient for guest stay here

The hotel have 535 room with 5 restaurant so I think it's convenient for guest. I really happy and felt comfortable when I stay here. I will come back

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and well-designed, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable visit. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile.

This is the best trip ever i would definitely come back. The hotel is unbelievable i was surprised with the lobby they now on going with Christmas decorations. The staff are really nice and helpful during my stay and especially the welcome drink they have gave me is delicious. I would recommend to my friends for their next trips as well

1st Hotel to ask price for an Ice Bucket and the Front desk said its as per Crown Plaza policy. Very poor experience. Think again before booking the hotel since they might even charge for fresh air.
