The hotel is in a safe neighborhood, but it’s a bit tired. No USB charging ports, no electrical outlets between the beds, old saggy pillows. It was convenient to the Brooklyn cruise port, but just average
single night stay - this hotel met all of our needs. it was quiet, clean, and accessible by bus and subway.
Parking was non existent, in an area which was loud with alot of construction.
Room was nice and clean but the Appliances were iffy. First day the coffee maker was not working and 2nd day the TV wouldn't work
Grammarly at stay in Brooklyn! Clean and upgraded room.
The room was comfortable and the staff was friendly. Wish i had a room on one of the upper floors so i could enjoy the balcony. But i didn't think to make that request when i booked the room.
Reception was not 24hrs. Had a sign saying be back in 5 minutes however did not even return after 30 minutes or longer. We had to catch a flight and left the key on the desk. Unsure how much longer the reception returned. No answer for phone or text.
Door room latch was broken and reception smells bad.
Showers make a squeaky noise and taps were loose and needs fixing. Would not recommend if you are looking for a 4 star hotel as they had advertised.
It was the closest hotel to my son and it was a great choice! The neighborhood was safe and it was an easy walking area
Room was spacious and contained a kitchenette (but no dishes or silverware). Unfortunately there was such intensive construction outside that it was nearly impossible to get our luggage down the street after check-out. Front desk checked in with us about arrival details and had good communication.
I didn't like it
Comfy warm stay
The hotel itself is quite nice, but the beds are very small. One of us had to sleep on the floor because two people did not fit comfortably in the beds. The surrounding area is very loud because of construction and street noise, but that’s to be expected in Brooklyn.
Very safe and the staff was very friendly!! I enjoyed my stay
Very nice boutique hotel. The staff was friendly. The elevator was broken on the day we checked out. Lots of construction nearby. The beds were exceedingly comfortable though!
The is very good from a certain community. It’s not a place for youngsters or people who live unorthodox life. But I must say it’s not really far from all the action.
Zero entertainment or facilities except the room -nice size
Check in was at 3. Room was rdy at 6
The bed was comfortable. The shower pressure was fine. The room phone didn’t work. The room was pretty bare bones. No ironing board or iron. What really made this stay so poor was the fact that my room wasn’t prepared for check-in until almost 6 PM. The girl at the front-desk said they were understaffed. Why book to a capacity you cannot accommodate??
I missed an event I had driven four hours to attempt and attend. I slept OK, noise wasn’t an issue and I was able to get myself clean. But maybe I’ve learned my lesson this time and need to exercise extreme caution when considering a stay at a small boutique hotel. Aura will not see me again.
I liked the hotel staff snd accommodations. They had no food service but their location wasn't in proximity of food choices outside of their ethnic population.
It’s very good place
The hotel was very disappointing and inconvenient. From the moment we checked in, the front desk staff was rude and unhelpful. Our room door wasn’t secure, and the side doors were not properly locked. We had to call maintenance to fix the locks so we could feel safe.
The hotel itself looked run-down and poorly maintained. To make matters worse, on our last day while checking out, housekeeping repeatedly knocked loudly on our door, demanding we leave immediately. We only needed a couple of extra minutes, but they were very rude and insensitive. The front desk staff witnessed this but did nothing to intervene.
Overall, the service was unprofessional, and the conditions were unsafe. I would not stay here again.
