If you get the room at a good price then book it. Rooms are basic and the fittings outdated but its comfortable enough. Rooms are clean, beds relatively comfortable. Lovely staff. At the right price I would stay there again.
The furniture in the rooms is really looking tired. The hotel in general needs a revamp. Great location and potentially a great hotel but it needs care. But at the right price, the hotel is more then acceptable.

Tres Grande chambre, avec une très belle vue sur l'océan.
Je n'ai pas pu prendre le petit déjeuner le dernier jour car je partais avant 7h00, on m'as apporté la veille au soir un plateau garni pour le petit déjeuner.
Présence d'un petit frigo.
Piscine vieillissante, la mosaïque est décollé et se retrouve au milieu de la piscine.
Moquette dans la chambre tachée et décollé à plusieurs endroits.

De locatie
De geur van het restaurant er onder maar dat is alleen in het hoogseizoen
Het ontbijt was heerlijk en het personeel was super vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
Het hotel is enorm verouderd en dat zie je aan alles. Ook is het een eind lopen naar Funchal, met een auto alles prima te doen.

Nombreuses tâches sur la moquette, les draps et les serviettes de bains
Moquette gondolée, tachée, et avec des auréoles (précédentes inondations ?)
Lors de notre dernière nuit nous avons trouvé 2 punaises de lit dans nos draps. Le personnel de l’hôtel n’a fait aucun geste commercial pour cet incident, et a considéré qu’il s’agissait de « cafards ». Un retour de vacances peu tranquille avec une mise en quarantaine et un traitement complet de nos affaires/bagages pour éviter une invasion à la maison.
La climatisation ne fonctionnait pas.
Le parking était souvent complet.
Le service n’est clairement pas à la hauteur d’un 4 étoiles….
Frühstück war super.
Lage um zu Wandern auch.
Es gab im Erdgeschoss einen Wasserschaden mit Gerüst somit waren Bereiche geschlossen.
Der Pool war sauber aber die Fliesen lösten sich , man hätte sich verletzen können.
Sehr freundliches Personal, wenn man keine hohe Ansprüche ist es top. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Frühstück war top und haben auch sehr gut geschlafen :)

L’établissement offre de très belles prestations.
Le petit déjeuner est très sympa et le personnel à l’écoute.
L’espace piscine avec spot coucher de soleil aussi très sympa
Le seul bémol est l’état de la piscine à refaire selon moi du moins le sol.
