Homewood Suites Charlotte Ayrsley

I am extremely disappointed with my experiences at Homewood Suites Charlotte/Ayrsley. I have stayed at this hotel multiple times because of the location, but every stay has come with a different problem.
During one of my previous stays, I had to wait over an hour after the 3:00 PM check-in time because my room still wasn't cleaned. Other past issues included an overflowing dishwasher and power not working on one side of the room.
My current stay has been the worst. The shower doesn't work properly, the bedroom door won't even shut, leaving us with no privacy, the couch is dirty and has holes, there were dirty dishes left in the room, no linens for the pullout sofa, and what appeared to be a shower curtain used on the bed instead of proper bedding. We also found multiple roaches throughout the room.
When we checked in, there was no body wash, shampoo, or conditioner. The front desk said they had run out and only offered bar soap. I requested 5 towels and 5 washcloths for my family but only received 2 towels.
My family has severe allergies and asthma, and I have a 10-month-old daughter with special needs whose immune system is already compromised. Cleanliness and a safe environment are critical for us, and this hotel has failed to provide either.
After reporting all of these issues, I asked to be moved or upgraded to another room. My request was denied, and I was only offered Hilton Honors points. After staying here multiple times and repeatedly experiencing maintenance, housekeeping, and cleanliness problems, points are simply not an acceptable resolution.
I gave this hotel chance after chance, but the repeated maintenance failures, delayed check-ins, poor housekeeping, pest problems, and lack of concern for guest safety and comfort have made this my last stay. I cannot recommend this property to anyone, especially families traveling with young children or anyone with health concerns.

Gute Lage

I honestly cant complain about anything! I stayed 7/4/26 and the staff was great . I made sure to get the names of the two employees that I was in correspondence with. TIA AND MIA lol and they aren't twins. However, both ladies were very pleasant and went beyond to try accommodate. I will be visiting again . Thanks

The hotel was outdated and definitely not worth the price. The room had a weird dated smell the entire stay, the AC units were old and looked like they were from the 1980s, the bathroom door wouldn’t lock, and the chairs were stained and disgusting (attached photo). Breakfast was good and honestly the only saving grace of the stay. We stayed when the hotel wasn’t even full, and parking was already limited — the small lot is shared by three hotels, so I can only imagine how bad it gets at full capacity. I would not recommend this place at all.

The location,nice rooms

My favorite part about the Homewood Suites is the staff. Ami and David at the front desk greeted me with such a warm welcome that immediately made me feel comfortable there. The rooms are clean and the staff did a great job of making sure the trash was taken out everyday and always had clean towels and small amenities stocked.

It was such a joy to visit! The staff were so helpful and the area was exceptionally clean. Definitely would return with my husband again!

We stayed for one night. Check in was easy and our room was ready when we arrived. The property is located in a fairly new shopping, dining, residential area that is very nice. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was typical for Homewood. There's a decent fitness center but it's a little hard to find within the fairly large facility. The staff member on duty was very helpful.

I had two issues with the property. The first, and most significant, is the lack of adequate parking. There are 3 hotels within close proximity that share parking. There just isn't enough. We were lucky that someone was leaving when we returned from dinner as the lot was otherwise full. This problem is hard to fix. The second is that the carpet in the hallways on the first level is dirty. It's easy to see that it needs to be cleaned. This is an easy fix.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

The pull out couch had rips and tears in the arm.We had to go and the retrieve the blankets from the front desk ourselves.They didnt provide any pillows so we had to share from the bed. The tub was perpetually wet and my shower steam set off the smoke alarm at 8am. And we were only provided 2 bath cloths in a suite that sleeps 3 to 4
