Pool great, beds comfy, hotel on the tired side
Pros:

The pool was lovely, beds super squishy, and the food was really delicious

The bath towels stank really strongly of cigarette smoke, and sadly the whole place felt a little tired

Prima voor 1 of 2 nachten Soerabaja

Lekker groot zwembad, en de tuin was prachtig! Eten volop keuze, zowel in de avond als bij het ontbijt.
De locatie is volgens mij ook prima. We waren maar 1 nachtje en hebben niet veel ondernomen. Het bed sliep heerlijk en was lekker groot en de lakens waren heerlijk fris en schoon.

Cons:

De badkamer was niet echt schoon, handafdruk op spiegels, vloer was vies. Vloerbedekking en gordijnen in kamer zag er wat smoezelig uit.

Het verblijf is top, personeel is erg vriendelijk je voelt je er thuis en welkom.
Pros:

Ontbijt is erg goed voorteffelijk en uitgebreid en het werd goed verzorgd. Zwembad is groot waardoor er veel gebruik van wordt gemaakt dus een goed pluspunt.

Cons:

De kamers en gangen is tapijt, waardoor het niet hygienisch is. Vooral op de slaapkamers het ziet er dan ook smerig uit. Tapijt op de slaapkamers is not done en vooral niet in een warm land. De airco is zodanig ingericht dat deze recht in je gezicht blaast waardoor het koud aanvoelt. De airco is niet door lammellen zo in te stellen.

The perfect city home base
Pros:

Wow what a great place. Have stayed here twice now. Both times exceeded expectations by a country mile. Super friendly staff. Big spacious rooms with huge windows, a great view, and a massive bed.

Makes me want to come back to Surabaya just to stay here. The name may have changed but the 5-star service culture is still ever present.

Un très bel établissement
Pros:

Hôtel historique de Surabaya magnifiquement décoré, avec un jardin et une très belle piscine. Chambre insonorisée, buffet petit-déjeuner très riche avec la possibilité de manger dehors.

This older hotel is very interesting. The grounds are gorgeous...feels like a jungle. A huge hotel that houses conference rooms, shops, 2 restaurants and some very nice pieces of art. Pool area was nice, gym was great. Breakfast was ok...lots of local foods. Staff was great...from front desk, to restaurant to housekeeping.

Cons:

Rooms need to be upgraded. Carpet is old and frayed, toilet seat was old and made of cheap plastic. The toilet was old too...the base was stained and unpleasant to look at.

Dat er meerdere bars en restaurants zijn gesloten.
De kamers verouderd en muffig, geen handdoeken op de kamer(vergeten neer te leggen), en veel slijtage te zien. Geen onderhoud.

Additional Water bottles are priced at 10x shop price . Very disappointing when you get thirsty in night time and have no choice other than to pay . Also, additional food/bar/restaurant charges cannot be put on hotel room bill., they have to be paid for separately

Beautiful resort with friendly staff and unclean rooms :(
Pros:

The flora and fauna, alongside the Balinese interior and exterior designs. It felt so relaxing just seeing them! Also, the staff were so friendly and accommodating. The foods were also really good !

Cons:

The cleanliness of the rooms. Though the layout of the room looked posh and comfy, the carpets were unclean - debris and stains from previous occupants. This applies to the toilet (pungent smell that won’t go) and dried soap and water streak marks. The bedsheets and pillow covers were also dull and stained. The management tried changing the rooms- but more or less the conditions were alike and there wasn’t anything much could be done during our two nights stay.
