You will be feasting day to night
Pros:

You will be stuffed full literally everyday. The Asahikawa style ramen here was better than that in the Ramen Village! Food is to die for. Onsen was very nice also with the outdoor view.

Cons:

The site says you automatically get 2 different courses if your stay is 3D2N or more. But what actually happens is the Japanese cuisine gets overbooked at least 2 days in advance so we never got to try that. Please book your French/Japanese style 懐石料理 in advance.

Also if you want to do a full Asahidake Mountain loop, choose somewhere else, breakfast timing here is simply too late for that to happen.

Extrèmement decevant et vétustes.
Pros:

Avoid, unless you want to be treated like an unwanted commodity.
Pros:

The hotel is pretty rundown. Rooms were very tired and dark, they clearly haven't been refurbished in decades, Service is is rather charmless. You have the sense that the hotel sees guests, Japanese or foreign as a pure commodity. 7 course dinner was served in around 30 minutes and was pretty rank. The whole exercise seemed to be a lesson in getting customers in and oout of the restaurant as quickly as possible.

The location makes it almost worth.
Pros:

Good location, very nice onsen, especially the private ones. Good food and nice touch with the extras in the lobby area (sweets, tea, wine).

Cons:

Expensive for the quality of the room. Overall building is in need of a refresher.

Be mindful to reserve for dinner! We checked in at 1800 and were told there was no restaurant serving because we didn’t reserve in advance. Friendly staff fixed it in the end.

Bellissimo hotel, il migliore
Pros:

Pros:

Cons:

Great staff, but total stay not worth the money
Pros:

The staff was super friendly!

Cons:

The property is clearly behind in maintainance and outdated, whereas room rates are super high. Breakfast and dinner are ok, but not outstanding. Food in Japan is cheap, but dinner at the hotel is super expensive. There was no butter at breakfast for 3 days (!!!) in a row, whereas bread rolls were served…
Also, no (paid) laundry service. Closest coin laundry is a 35min drive down the mountain.
In our opinion not worth the high rate

Pros:

The staff were super friendly and keen to assist in any means possible. Some was through google translation but they were fabulous. The food was exceptional. I'm sure when I booked I selected a Japanese meal for the first night however it wasn't received at the hotel so please contact them through the messenger and double confirm.
The hotel is located at the foot hills of Mt Asahidake, the highest mountain in Hokkaido. Hiking the 20km route is 20km 6-7hrs. Coming back and dousing in the onsen was so wonderful and relaxing.
I cannot recommend this place enough.
