Disappointed
Pros:

Close to Royal Melbourne Hospital

Cons:

The room needs a very good clean,carpet needs steam cleaned,found tow nail in lounge room, I think who ever does cleaning of room needs a good lesson in hygiene and must look for detail

We were called a day before we were arriving and told there was a problem and offered to have a refund or be booked elsewhere - we chose to be rebooked and were booked at the Ibis in Melbourne apartments - which turned out to be a cheap & nasty looking place with very basic facilities

Pros:

Great location to were we attended wedding lunch.

Cons:

Had trouble finding room 20. We booked 2 rooms. It would have been better if they were near each other. Not rooms 2 and 20. Room 20 was still being cleaned at 3pm when we checked in

Great location - facilities need updating for the money
Pros:

Friendly staff - very willing to help where they could

Cons:

Washing machine didn't work in our apartment. They did find a work around which was encouraging. Beds were uncomfortable, at least for us. Mattress was either way too soft or way too hard. Only had fans in the bedrooms however the air conditioning in the main room was good. Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner too.

Good location on a budget
Pros:

Location was central to lygon st, staff were very friendly and accommodated a later check in, great communication in the lead up. Budget room is a little dated but spacious enough (a little pricier for what you get as it was the same week as Australian Open, otherwise very affordable)

Cons:

The metal gate outside the rooms didn’t lock and there was no blind on the front door meaning you could be seen from the street inside the room. Beds extremely hard, one bed had a mattress much larger than the bed base so couldn’t be used by 2 people.
