Great location - facilities need updating for the money
Pros:

Friendly staff - very willing to help where they could

Cons:

Washing machine didn't work in our apartment. They did find a work around which was encouraging. Beds were uncomfortable, at least for us. Mattress was either way too soft or way too hard. Only had fans in the bedrooms however the air conditioning in the main room was good. Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner too.

Good location on a budget
Pros:

Location was central to lygon st, staff were very friendly and accommodated a later check in, great communication in the lead up. Budget room is a little dated but spacious enough (a little pricier for what you get as it was the same week as Australian Open, otherwise very affordable)

Cons:

The metal gate outside the rooms didn’t lock and there was no blind on the front door meaning you could be seen from the street inside the room. Beds extremely hard, one bed had a mattress much larger than the bed base so couldn’t be used by 2 people.

Great location.
Pros:

The location was great, one street away from Lygon St in Carlton.

Cons:

Unfortunately, we must have gotten one of the unrenovated apartments, it was like stepping back into the 60's. It was comfortable and clean, but just old.

Dirty Disappointment
Pros:

We liked the location to be able to walk to Lygon Street for convenience shopping and dinner.

Cons:

The room wasn't cleaned properly, dust on top of the cupboards, grease & dust on top of the range hood, cook top dirty, sticky cup ring on coffee table, hole in pillow case, black mould on bathroom walls, white bath dirty, dirty feet or hand prints on wall, clothes line that hangs over the toilet in the bathroom, could hear neighbours banging around early upstairs, weird rubber toilet seat cover stuck to seat. The cost of this room was way more than we've paid in other areas of Melbourne for one night in better, clean condition.

Perfect Location!
Pros:

Had an amazing stay at Clocktower Apartments on 16th of December.
Location was central to Lygon Street and fabulous restaurants, parking was cheap, and the rooms were spacious and comfy.
Loved the full size bathroom, and the rooms come with kitchen/laundry facilities.
Will definitely stay again. 10/10
