Property was decent, I liked that it is directly on the beach however it is not at a swimmable beach. It’s also in a LGB
Pros:

Beach front

Cons:

Further into PV than I thought. During the night there were questionable people outside trying to sell maybe vapes or something to smoke. It was uncomfortable to be out at night in the neighborhood. Property itself was nice

A Perfect Place to Be While in Puerto Vallarta
Pros:

Vallarta Shores is an ideal cross between a resort and boutique hotel. The location, directly on Playa Los Muertos and a short walk to Zona Romántica, Centro and Malecón, make it easy to enjoy the pool or beach and explore the community. The suite's common area is a lovely open-air space, and separate bedrooms give privacy to each traveler. The hearty, delicious Mexican meals prepared by our en-suite chef were outstanding and a wonderful service to have upon arrival and after spending the day outside.

Cons:

The suite was meticulously clean and kept in good order by the staff, but surfaces are showing wear and tear - cracked tiles, loose safety glass. The beach party hosted by the property next door was very loud and disruptive, which certainly wasn't the hotel's doing, but surrounding property owners should make an effort to shorten the event. Not enough people attended to justify four-days of constant thumping club music for 11 hours per day.

Can’t wait to come back!
Pros:

Right on the beach. Smaller resort with an extremely friendly staff. Room was clean and the hotel provided great coffee. The noise level from the neighboring hotel was quite high but they were having some kind of special event for the first couple of days.

Cons:

Noise from the neighbors.

I would recommend this property to friends. One couple from our party has already booked a unit with family for next ye
Pros:

Beautiful sky suite unit, well kept and clean. Great water views. Bedrooms and living areas were wonderful. Bathrooms in two of the rooms could use some updating and perhaps exhaust fans as well. Our chef, Rodrigo, was wonderful and very accommodating to the requests of the group.

Cons:

Only issue was the difficult walk on the streets from the property into other parts of town, apart from walking on the beach. That was okay as an alternative, but just a small challenge not wanting to get sand in shoes for dress up dinner occasions.

Exceeded our expectations 👏👏👏
Pros:

Private ground floor suite that was tastefully decorated ! Very peaceful, on the beach . Opened the refrigerator to find a couple bottles of water and Corona beer ! Now that was a first ! Typical PV , warm kind loving staff ❤️

Cons:

It was a bit of a walk to get to restaurants, not a problem for us , but could be if you have mobility issues.

Pros:

Beach front, lots of space, clean, great views, immediate access to Playa Los Muertos. It’s in zona romantica but not in the thick of it - which to me is a great thing but others may prefer that, and this would probably be too out of the way for them. I enjoyed coffee on my veranda overlooking the beach and made myself a delicious breakfast then enjoyed friends, the beach, and all that PV offers.

Cons:

Nada

Beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing villa
Pros:

Villa Azul was absolutely incredible — it truly felt like something straight out of a movie. Every room was beautifully designed and offered stunning ocean views. At night, you could fall asleep to the sound of waves crashing on the beach, which made the entire experience even more special.

What truly set this stay apart, though, was the staff. Chef Irvin and Chef Alberto were beyond accommodating and prepared delicious meals for us throughout the trip. Every dish was thoughtfully made, and they went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed.

We are so grateful for the hospitality and care we received. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing, and well-managed stay. We would absolutely love to return in the future.

I loved the location.

Cons:

The sliding doors were difficult to maneuver. We had to get help from the staff 3 of 7 days.

Where Service Steals the Show
Pros:

Our stay was absolutely defined by the incredible staff especially Albert and Irvin. From day one, he made us feel completely taken care of. His attentiveness was next level. Whether it was our 6-year-old happily ordering mudslides (his favorite!) or the other kids requesting their own beautifully made mocktails, they never missed a beat. They remembered preferences, anticipated needs, and treated every request big or small with genuine care and enthusiasm. It truly felt like personalized, five-star service every single day.

Albert and Irvin are top-notch chefs and an exceptional team. The chemistry between them is seamless, and it shows in every meal. Dinner each night felt like dining at a Michelin-star restaurant. From incredible Mexican dishes to fresh sushi and everything in between, every meal was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. They are not only talented but also warm, accommodating, and truly invested in making your experience special.

The cleaning crew also deserves recognition — they did an amazing job. Daily service was impeccable: fresh towels, crisp sheets, spotless floors. Everything was maintained to the highest standard, and it never went unnoticed.

As for the property itself, there are a few things to consider. The home is somewhat dated and could use a refresh. Bathrooms and bedrooms show some wear — leaky toilets, slow-draining showers, small maintenance issues that just need some attention. If rating purely on the physical home, it would likely be closer to a 3. However, Albert and Irvin completely closed that gap with their service and hospitality.

There are three pools, but only one is heated. We weren’t able to use the other two during our stay. While having three pools sounds amazing (and it is!), realistically you’ll likely use the heated one unless you’re visiting in warmer summer months.

If anyone in your group has accessibility concerns, note that there are a lot of stairs and no elevator.

There are also cameras in the common areas (main living/TV room and main patio area). It gives the space more of a resort feel rather than a private home-away-from-home atmosphere.

After a week, we found ourselves wishing there had been a spa/hot tub and a small gym. That said, we knew this going in, it simply wasn’t advertised, and we didn’t think much of it beforehand.

The location was great. Easy Uber or taxi ride into town. For groceries, Albert and Irvin were always incredibly accommodating and happy to help. Otherwise, Uber Eats made it simple to order from local grocery stores or even Costco.

At the end of the day, what made this stay unforgettable was the staff. Albert, especially, went above and beyond in ways that truly elevated the entire experience. His attention to detail, warmth, and consistency are what we’ll remember most.
