Beautiful and peaceful resort
Pros:

The room was beautiful. Beds comfortable, everything updated, clean and modern. Plenty of room for an adult and 2 teens. Food was delicious.

Cons:

The concierge booked some experiences offsite that were prepaid. The communication with the Concierge was excellent. However, one of our excursions booked by the hotel ran very late. We were supposed to arrive back to the hotel by 4:00 PM. The same Concierge booked another excursion for us at 6 PM. I alerted the Concierge that the first excursion was running very late and is it possible to have the second excursion refunded because we were not going to make it in time. This request was met with a refusal saying it was past the time for a cancellation or change. However, I reminded the Concierge that this was beyond our control and this was an excursion they booked for us. And for those reasons and that we did not arrive back until 6:30 PM which was after our second excursion, this was not our fault and we should receive a refund. After some back-and-forth, they agreed to reschedule it. My son was the only one that was able to go at the time that it was rescheduled for. I did not receive a refund for myself or my daughter. My son when he went to go, they told him that he was going to have to pay because the reschedule was not put in their system. I did argue that with them and he did not have to pay. However, maybe think twice about pre-booking a bunch of excursions through the hotel and pre-paying for them before you get there because I was very disappointed that this was even an issue. I should’ve been given a refund on the second excursion automatically.

Wild life, exotic flowers, quiet and relaxing!
Pros:

The property is located in a rain forest. It is green and lush, beautifully landscaped, and walkable. The villas are modern and comfortable, and very private. Hot spring didn’t disappoint. You will see here a lot of beautiful flowers and lizards, basilisk, hummingbirds, butterflies, stick insects.

Cons:

It was little boy on the outside of La Fortuna, but this is to be expected from rain forest property. On the positive is that you don’t have to leave it to get a fantastic meal.

Le personnel est genial et au petit soin, un merci tout particulier a BRAyan qui s’est merveilleusement occupé de nous. L’hôtel est magnifique, tres propre entouré dune nature luxuriante avec une rivière autour, les hot spring installées au milieu de l’hotel sont parfait aussi . Les chambres sont très propre. If I could give Chaa Creek 10 stars, I genuinely would. We would return in a heartbeat.
Pros:

This was genuinely one of the best hotels my husband and I have ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly special and looked after. It honestly felt like we were living in paradise.

The staff were exceptional - so kind, friendly and genuinely willing to go the extra mile to make sure we had an amazing experience. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and the level of service was outstanding. Even the little things, like being collected around the property by golf cart, added such a lovely sense of luxury and indulgence.

We were celebrating 30th birthdays and our five-year wedding anniversary, and the team had decorated our room with beautiful towel arrangements and left us some lovely sweet treats. It was such a thoughtful touch and really made us feel that they cared about making our stay special.

We stayed in the jungle treehouse and it was absolutely immaculate! It was stunning, peaceful and honestly beyond anything we had imagined. Waking up surrounded by the rainforest every morning was incredible. One of the most surreal experiences was sitting in our hot tub watching toucans and other tropical birds in the trees around us - we kept looking at each other in disbelief that this was actually real!

The food was also excellent, and we were particularly impressed by the activities and tours offered through the hotel. We actually found the hotel’s own tours to be far better than some of the external tours we had paid for elsewhere in the region. The emphasis was clearly on quality and giving guests a genuinely memorable experience rather than simply ticking a box.

Throughout our stay, the team were responsive, helpful and attentive, and we felt exceptionally well looked after.

I honestly cannot fault our stay. It gave us memories that we will keep forever and was a huge highlight of our trip. If I could give Chachagua 10 stars, I genuinely would. We would return in a heartbeat.

Wonderful but food needs to be reviewed
Pros:

Location - hot springs and Roy was exceptional!

Cons:

The food was really average and lets the hotel down. They are catering for the US customer. They do not offer gluten free bread or pasta. Very limited on what we could eat so had to resort to eating out.

Beautiful stay in the middle of nature
Pros:

Amazing food and great service.

Cons:

We liked everything! Only remark is that if you’re driving instead of taking a tour van be prepared to drive through many potholes and very narrow bridges.

Absolutely amazing place but the restaurants were a bit too pricey for my liking
Pros:

The property was absolutely amazing. It was probably the most beautiful place I’ve ever been. We were surrounded by jungle.

Cons:

The only thing I didn’t like was the prices of the restaurants. One restaurant was a little more expensive than the other, but both were what I consider insanely expensive, especially given the economy there and the general prices of things. but saying that, everything they made was so incredibly fresh.

Pros:

Location and vibe of the resort was great in the rainforest. Hot springs and pool was very nice. One of a kind! Staff was friendly, and a dedicated concierge was a very big plus. Bryan took care of us as we checked in and with any reservations we needed. Fruit patter was waiting for us once we got to the room. Staff went extra miles to welcome us with a cute towel swans for our wedding anniversary.

Cons:

Food would be our only complaint. Food was hit or miss. Besides the burgers, rest of menu lacked flavors and freshness. Also the lighting could be better to set the mood inside the restaurant for dinner. Drinks were good but really wished the food was better. Not worth the value.
