Excellent location, beautiful property, stunning views, however it's the very helpful and friendly staff that made the stay extra special.
Offered a non alcoholic welcome drink on arrival, feels a little lacking in generosity, a glass of wine/beer or house special cocktail would have been more welcoming.
This hotel is lovely, located in Taormina, only a short walk from Corvo Umberto. It is very convenient but you’re not in the middle of the hustle and bustle. It is architecturally beautiful as are the vistas from the hotel terrace and pool.
The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Our room had a lovely patio where we could relax for a spritz or a morning cappuccino.
The hotel is on the smaller size so you truly feel a personal guest!
While we didn’t dine on site, we thoroughly enjoyed our morning breakfasts on the Terrace on the top floor.
What is most memorable about this hotel was the personal attention of the staff. They were able recommend must see things to do, like a special spot to get a pistachio granita or several beautiful restaurants where we could dine alfresco.
We are most grateful for their help in arranging a special stop on our transfer from Taormina to the airport in Catania. I spoke to the concierge, Denise and told her that we wanted to stop in a few towns where my husband’s grandparents had lived. The driver they secured, Carmelo, hit it out of the park, sharing his knowledge and personal experiences from the towns. He made the stop very memorable for us. It was so special.
The hotel is very charming, a grand traditional Italian property with lovely gardens, and wonderful views. The location is excellent and the staff very helpful, we enjoyed our stay so much we are planing to return next year. Our chamber maid was excellent, a credit to the hotel.
The hotel is set back and a peaceful oasis a short walk from Porta Messina service is of the highest standard with a Michelin star restaurant attached the rooms are very clean and well appointed and the view is beautiful
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Ashbee, in Taormina . Every single detail was thoughtfully taken care of and communication throughout our stay was seamless — they were always responsive and helpful through WhatsApp. The property itself is stunning and beautifully maintained. Everything was spotless. The morning cleaning crew and evening turndown service were both impeccable.
The team truly went above and beyond to make our experience in Taormina unforgettable. We left feeling so well cared for and welcomed. Amazing stay we will definitely return if we ever make it back to Sicily!

Very friendly and helpful staff, located very close to the entrance of the main street of Taormina. Facility was great - St George’s was the gem!
To be honest，Our stay experience was far below expectations. We were in Room 28, where there was a strong low-frequency vibration and sound every few tens of seconds, which kept us from sleeping well the whole night. We reported the issue to the hotel at around 6 a.m., but received no response at all. The overall cost-performance ratio is extremely low.
We understand that we were charged an additional 400 Euros for requesting an extra bed for our 5-year-old child, but we are very dissatisfied with the hotel's facilities and service
Everything was great - staff were super friendly and accommodating. The property is beautiful and centrally located. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Few minute walk to all the bars, restaurants and the tram that takes you to the beaches. Room is spacious but we wish there were a dresser with drawers. Highly recommend.

Everything about the Ashbee is perfection. The entire staff was extremely accommodating and informative. Always pleasant and anticipating our needs. The grounds are impeccable and the rooms comfortable and inviting. All of the food was delicious and the location is so convenient for access to the popular sites.
Located just outside Messina Gate, location is quiet but quick access to Corso and not far from funicular. Attentive, friendly staff. Nice breakfast on the roof level. Hotel has a Michelin 2 star restaurant (which we did not dine at-- didn't realize prior to check -in and we had other plans). Recommend highly!
