My partner and I stayed here for our 40th wedding anniversary and the staff were amazing and the property was excellent and the inifinity pool was absolutly fantastic. I would stay here again the service was great

Η διαμονή μας στο The Ashbee Hotel στην Ταορμίνα υπήρξε πραγματικά εξαιρετική.
Η προνομιακή τοποθεσία, η υπέροχη θέα, οι καλαίσθητοι κοινόχρηστοι χώροι, οι περιποιημένοι κήποι και το εστιατόριο συνθέτουν ένα περιβάλλον υψηλής αισθητικής και διακριτικής πολυτέλειας.
Το δωμάτιο ήταν άψογο από πλευράς καθαριότητας, άνεσης και ποιότητας εξοπλισμού, ενώ ιδιαίτερη εντύπωση μας προκάλεσαν η εξαιρετική ποιότητα των κλινοσκεπασμάτων και η προσοχή ακόμη και στις μικρότερες λεπτομέρειες. Η συνολική ατμόσφαιρα του ξενοδοχείου ανταποκρίνεται πλήρως στις προσδοκίες μιας διαμονής υψηλού επιπέδου.
Ξεχωριστή αναφορά αξίζει στο προσωπικό, το οποίο ήταν ευγενέστατο, πρόθυμο, διακριτικό και ιδιαίτερα εξυπηρετικό καθ’ όλη τη διάρκεια της παραμονής μας. Τα γεύματα και το πρωινό εξαιρετικά πολύ υψηλού επιπέδου.
Υπήρξε, ωστόσο, ένα σημείο που μας προκάλεσε δυσάρεστη εντύπωση.
Κατά το check-out εμφανίστηκε στον λογαριασμό ένα συγκεκριμένο ποσό ως γενικό φιλοδώρημα προς το προσωπικό. Παρότι διευκρινίστηκε ότι η καταβολή του ήταν προαιρετική και ότι το ποσό θα διανεμόταν στους εργαζομένους, η αναγραφή προκαθορισμένου ποσού στον τελικό λογαριασμό δημιουργεί, κατά την άποψή μου, μια έμμεση ψυχολογική πίεση προς τον πελάτη.
Το φιλοδώρημα αποτελεί προσωπική και ελεύθερη έκφραση ευχαρίστησης για τις υπηρεσίες που προσφέρθηκαν. Θα θεωρούσα πολύ πιο διακριτική και σύμφωνη με το επίπεδο του ξενοδοχείου μια απλή ενημέρωση ότι οι επισκέπτες μπορούν, εφόσον το επιθυμούν, να αφήσουν οποιοδήποτε ποσό για το σύνολο του προσωπικού, χωρίς να αναγράφεται προκαθορισμένη χρέωση, η οποία για να είμαι δίκαιος θα μπορούσε να διαμορφωθεί ανάλογα από την προσωπική μου επιθυμία. Άλλωστε, ήδη κατά την άφιξή μας είχα προσφέρει προσωπικά φιλοδώρημα στον εργαζόμενο που μας συνόδευσε και μας ξενάγησε στο δωμάτιο, χωρίς να γνωρίζω εάν αυτό εντάχθηκε στο σύστημα συλλογικής διανομής. Η παρατήρησή μου δεν αφορά σε καμία περίπτωση το προσωπικό ή τις τπηρεσιπες που μας προσφέρθηκαν, το οποίο υπήρξε υποδειγματικό, αλλά αποκλειστικά τη συγκεκριμένη πρακτική της διοίκησης. Παρά την επιφύλαξη αυτή, η συνολική εμπειρία μας ήταν εξαιρετική και το The Ashbee Hotel παραμένει ένα ξενοδοχείο υψηλής ποιότητας, με ιδιαίτερο χαρακτήρα, εξαιρετική αισθητική και πραγματική αίσθηση φιλοξενίας. Θα το συνιστούσα ανεπιφύλακτα, με την ελπίδα ότι η διοίκηση θα επανεξετάσει αυτή τη μικρή αλλά ουσιαστική λεπτομέρεια.
The location is perfect for exploring the town on foot and it is an little oasis of beauty and calm inside the gate. The views are stunning. The hotel itself is beautiful and the breakfast with its views was excellent. The rooms were a little small but attractive. We were welcomed with drinks in the courtyard near the pool which was a nice touch.
The main issue was the airconditioning, for both ourselves and our friends. It is tricky to operate and when you get it cool enough, it turned off in the night making it far too warm for comfort. The staff denied this happens but we have experienced this a lot in Italy so are not unaccustomed to denials. It happened for both our rooms, even after calls and visits to the front desk. I suspect they are trying to save money but at this price point it is not acceptable to have a bad night's sleep because of the heat. The other thing I didn't like was that there were no details given to us about how to find the hotel (it was tricky on a busy road) and if you miss it, as we did, you have no choice but to go back to sea level and back up again which is about a 12 minute round trip.

The breakfast has enough options to not require ordering from the menu. The location is perfect for walking to and from all adventures.

Classic ground floor rooms smell very musty, air conditioning noisy. We were upgraded to a suite which was much, much better. It felt like a different hotel.

Volevo solo suggerire ad una colazione comunque perfetta la possibilità di aggiungere un corner con prodotti tipicamente siciliano ( cannoli cassatine ecc) .
Absolutely amazing hotel in such a great location. Pool is seriously beautiful with great pool bar service. The breakfast and lunches we had were delicious, rooms lovely and the hotel staff were all absolutely incredible! They were so kind when we were a little stressed due to flights cancellations. Cannot recommend this hotel enough!
