This is a pleasant hotel in a great location with plenty of lovely restaurants and easy to access the centre via Uber. The hotel itself is dated and as a small boutique hotel obviously cannot offer a gym or swimming pool etc as larger hotels might. It seems to be popular with travel group/companies from the UK as we saw lots of these, and also start/finish for some of the cruises.
The staff are welcoming in general. The breakfasts are nice and offer a small variety as you would expect from a hotel of this size. They have a wee honesty bar and a pleasant courtyard which we and our friends enjoyed using for pre dinner drinks. They also have a small kitchen area where you can pick up water tea coffee in the late afternoon/evening. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms.
The air conditioning is noisy and old. We had a pleasant room at the back of the hotel overlooking the courtyard. It is dark due to the trees outside, but that does keep it cooler in the summer. The noise level from outside was minimal for us, but there is not a lot of soundproofing between rooms as we certainly had a lot of noise from upstairs and in the corridors. If you were in a street facing room it could be noisier, although to be fair our friends were and said it was not noticeable.
We arranged two tours via the hotel - one to Valparaiso and one to Cajon del Maipo for a walk in the Andes. They were expensive and not particularly good, so I would recommend sorting any trips via another platform such as this one.
Charming hotel. Lovely staff. Delightful garden. Honesty bar appreciated. Good breakfast. In quiet street off main road central to shops & restaurants. Def recommend.
Location is superb, the staff are very friendly and helpful, comfortable rooms, good shower, pleasant breakfast experience.
There is so much to enjoy about this hotel. Will definitely be our first choice if we return to Santiago.
There are lots of eating places to try out, many of them recommended, but our discovery was the superb Peru Gustoso on the parallel street - superb in every respect.
The relaxed and attentive service provided the perfect start to our trip to Chile. The freedom you feel to move around the open areas allowed us to settle in quickly. The service levels very perfect and very supportive. One of the best hotel experiences we’ve had. So well thought out in terms of what visitors need when they arrive in Chile and beyond.
Charming, small hotel. Basically an enhanced B&B. Very friendly and helpful staff will arrange tours and airport transportation at short notice. Rooms are spotless and comfortable. Very pleasant continental breakfast. Surounding area has some good restaurants. Centrally located within 20 minutes of city sites and parks.
This is an absolutely charming, delightful hotel. The staff, including Paz and Jose, are exceptional and helpful. When I left things in my room upon leaving, they were so helpful in the retrieval, above and beyond.
This is a lovely hotel, convenient for the main sites. It’s on a quiet road, the traffic calming measures mean the are few vehicles using it. The hotel is based around a beautiful courtyard that has shade and sun at most times. Outside the hotel are about 7/8 restaurants, apart from local cuisine, French, Peruvian, Tapas and a vegetarian. We ate in 3 and all were good and had outside tables. We stayed 3 nights and recommend it.
We stayed three different times on our visit to South America. Each time staff was amazing and welcoming. The honesty bar and little snacks hit the spot when we arrived late. The garden area was a quiet retreat from sightseeing. I highly recommend and hope to be back ourselves.
This was a lovely quaint hotel in Providencia, Santiago.
Our room was well equipped (fridge, safe, toiletries etc) & comfortable. It looked onto an enclosed courtyard - a nice place to sit at the end of a busy day enjoying a drink/snack from the honesty bar or indeed a delicious breakfast.
Staff were friendly & helpful - we were given a takeaway breakfast when we left (we had an early flight) which was much appreciated.
There are several tapas bars & restaurants in the street which itself is quiet but is just off some busy thoroughfares.
This hotel is beautiful. The decor, look and feel is very french. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and the access to the kitchen for fruit, biscuits and drinks is welcoming. My room was big and comfortable. There are many restaurants at your doorstep. A definite home away from home, not just a block of concrete. I would stay here again. 10/10
The hotel has a delightful courtyard garden which is green, quiet and tranquil in the middle of a busy city. The staff were extremely helpful.
The hotel room need a bit of updating - but they were clean and confortable.
Loved the french style street and the French style manor of the hotel. Really cute and adorable hotel with lovely lounge. Staff were fantastic and helpful.
The room was a little on the smaller side but not an issue.
We LOVED our stay at Le Reve and it exceed our expectations. It truly felt like a peaceful oasis in the middle of busy La Provedencia. All of the staff were so welcoming and helpful and the breakfast and afternoon tea they provide are wonderful.
We had a very clean room facing the charming courtyard but the hotel is located on a quiet street so even street facing rooms would not be noisy. There is a great vegan restaurant across the street called El Huerto that we ate lunch at one day. And there are many restaurants and shops within walking distance. We also took advantage of the discount the hotel offers to do the Turistik Hop On Hop Off bus which includes the cable car and funicular of Cerro San Cristobel. We can't wait to return to both Santiago and Le Reve Boutique hotel.
Cozy and charming. Very clean lovely service.
Nothing
The hotel is located very close to Central area but still tucked in about a block inside and away from street craziness. We arrived in the morning for early check-in and was planning to wait till noon after leaving our bags in the lobby. However, the staff were super accommodating; they upgraded our rooms and checked us in within 1 hour. We were offered breakfast during our wait since we were planning to check out 5am the next day and would not be able to eat breakfast the following morning. The indoor breakfast seating area is very elegant, but we sat in their garden for breakfast and enjoyed the nice morning air. They still gave us croissants and coffee to go the next morning as a quick breakfast despite checking out so early. There is non-carbonated and carbonated water for free in the rooms and also for refill in the 1st floor kitchen, as well as coffee and snacks during the day. The rooms were very big and clean. Wished we had a longer stay since it was so comfortable.
They have a few restaurants that stay open till late in front of the hotel and it can get a bit loud during the night. I remember waking up once due to the noise but then we had to sleep early due to our 5am check-out so I am not sure what time this happened - could have been before midnight still. The breakfast is great but make sure to get there the exact time they open since the refills take a long time.
Principalmente a atenção dos funcionários
Being balanced I rated this as average because whilst of the face of it this is a quaint hotel it’s not so special nor above average. The decor is not really “elegant” more aged and it definitely needs a refresh. Housekeeping was poor is some areas and some nuts on the floor in our bedroom were not vacuumed up over the 2 days we were there.
Bathrooms are very small with little room for toiletries. The so called snack area is basically for tea/coffee/biscuits not for afternoon tea.
Bit disappointed in all honesty after all the rave reviews.
My husband and I arrived several hours prior to check in, and because our room was available, we were able to check in early and enjoy our day.
The hotel is located in a residential area with many dining options within walking distance. The hotel itself is both charming and well maintained with a beautiful courtyard to enjoy breakfast or to relax in the afternoon or evening. Snacks are also available in the late afternoon and evening.
The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating, as mentioned earlier.
The breakfast offers a variety of options including fresh fruit, breads, cheeses, and hot options as well.
If I return to Santiago, I would return to Le Reve.
I would highly recommend if traveling to Santiago.
Thank you for a lovely stay.
