Sterling Ooty Elk Hill

Disappointed with the facilities inside the room. For the price charged for the room stay per night it was bad facilities. Bed was sagging, sofas were super sagging. Room service was not good.

Not worth a stay for the value of my money.

Good food, friendly staff.
B-wing of the hotel is very old. You have to change elevators and walk long corridors to access this side.

I had a one night stay at this hotel, good location at the top of the hill, comfortable stay.Restaurant staff was excellent specially Girl named Harman .She was so helpful and courteous and friendly.We asked her some food which was not on the buffet menu, but she done her best to please us

Fantastic views of Ooty so it’s in a great location

The hotel was pleasant and a good location to explire the wider Ooty area. As a business traveller, I would have liked to have WiFi access in my room not just the hotel lobby. However, i do understand that this is a family hotel with a large number of time share properties. Staff were friendly and overall my stay was very pleasant.

Only issues less activities for children and kids

Hotel room had good view. But the location of the hotel is quite remote, with bad roads it is a bit difficult. If you have your own vehicle should not be a problem or the hotel was efficient to arrange for transport.

It was a pleasant stay at the sterling hotels.The view from the room was awesome.
the service was good , the breakfast was nice with a lot of variety.
only thing i can point is that they have no wifi in the rooms , it is available at the reception area but not i n the rooms.
other than that our stay was comfortable with the courteous staff of Sterling , we loved it.

It was good overall, the internet was too slow and we couldn't get a good signal in our room. the location is a bit interior but otherwise a good place to stay. the hotel is more suited for families with kids rather than a couple looking for a quiet holiday.

Experience was OK but unworthy of the money they charge.

Location is very nice ,staff are very good supporting ,rooms are so small and bad smell in bathroom .

I had good experience with sterling elk hill.Staff are very gud and ready to serve in a very good manner.Restaurant is very gud in condition.Rooms need improvement in furnishings and finishing.

The hotel is undergoing renovation. The renovated rooms are excellent. The lift was not working and we were informed that repairs will take 10 days. The manager and other office staff are very helpful. Vegetarian food is excellent. Breakfast spread was top notch (we had taken the continental plan). We had a pleasant stay.

Not much ventilation, rooms are over priced.
Had to ask for the welcome kit and water.

Few lights weren't working.

Around 3700 rs a day for such a room seemed too costly.
No balcony. A very small window for fresh air. It seemed like we were locked in basement.

Will check other hotels next time, not this one.

Was given room 5 floors down in the basement. Had moldy smell & the generators are not switched on so if the lights go off then there will be no elevator service. Room service is lousy. It is far away from the main town and the approach is pretty bad.

The hotel is just OK....nothing great to share. Had booked 3 rooms...rooms were clean, comfy beds...but the way to the rooms from the lobby was horrible...old/torn out/wet carpets...filthy walls...in one room closet was not working...however great breakfast...and reasonably good location...except the way to hotel from ooty town which is clumsy..
