A very pleasant time spent here, thanks.
Pros:

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel, it's well run and well placed especially if you are driving, one they have a garage and two there is parking in the street.
If you go into the old town it's impossible to park, this hotel is two mins walk outside the walls of the old town which is a jewel to visit in the SE of Italy.
Two or three nights to fully relax in this town and hotel, Lecce was probably the highlight of our trip in the SE. of Italy in terms of culture and gastronomie, we ate well as you do in Italy.

Espectacular
Pros:

Hotel precioso. Con una decoración modernista espectacular. El personal amabilisimo. Habitación enorme, muy comoda , con minibar cafetera y caja fuerte y cuarto de baño muy completo. La habitación muy silenciosa. A 2 minutos a pie de la Estación de Tren, ideal para hacer excursiones en tren sin utilizar transporte público. A escasos 15 minutos del centro histórico. El desayuno muy bueno y completo. En fin, fantástico y a un precio muy bueno.

Not As Grand As It Could Be
Pros:

The Hotel situated close to Lecce station and a 10 min walk to the fantastic old town.

The hotel looks very grand in communal areas and reception but the rooms are a tad dated the hallways thread bare carpets.

The rooms a tad on the small side and although dated are clean.

Shame the hotel bar closed at 10pm so we missed out on a nightcap.

The pool and pool area again slightly unkept and not as inviting as it could be.

Breakfast was basic but plentiful.

Pros:

The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The staff went out of their way to return a cell phone that I found in the piazza to its owner since my Italian was not up to the job!

Cons:

it is not really close to any restaurants or nightlife, but the bus stop is very close and parking on the street was easily available.

La posizione è ottima e lo stile barocco degli interni ricorda di essere a Lecce in ogni momento.

Il mio compagno ed io abbiamo deciso di passarci la notte di Capodanno. Appena arrivati in stanza, abbiamo trovato una fila di formiche sul tavolino. In giro sembrava fosse tutto pulito. Quindi decidiamo, ovviamente, di chiamare in reception e far presente la questione. Sale una ragazza, mortificata, ci dà prontamente un'altra stanza. Per le prime ore tutto nella norma. Intorno alle 18 comincia a cadere una goccia nella controsoffittatura, incessantemente, ogni tre secondi una goccia. Il mio compagno scende a far presente, e a chiedere perlomeno se avessero dei tappini. E no, niente, gli rispondono che il massimo che potevano fare era far intervenire la manutenzione la mattina seguente (inutile, noi ce ne saremmo già andati). Quindi, sperando per il meglio, usciamo a farci la serata di Capodanno. Al ritorno, pregando che andasse bene in tutte le lingue del mondo, fortunatamente, il rumore della goccia non c'era più. Fino alle 4. Continuamente, dalle 4 di mattina fino a quando, con l'occhio rosso ed incrostato, alle 8.30 decido di alzarmi per farla finita ed andare a prendere un caffè, perché in tutto ciò il mio compagno, fortunatamente, tra una goccia e l'altra, era riuscito a dormicchiare. Ma entro in bagno e scopro che un'orda di formiche aveva circondato il mio vasettino di crema bio, pronte a conquistare il fronte. In più, nel ristorante, il cameriere (gentilissimo, per carità), aveva deciso di uccidermi con crostatine, a suo dire, senza lattosio, che menomale che avevano gli ingredienti scritti sopra. La ciliegina c'è stata quando in risposta al ragazzo alla reception, che al suo "é andato tutto bene?" e alla risposta secca del mio compagno "sí, sì" (giusto per non fare questioni), ho esordito con il mio educato "e no, c'erano le formiche, avete le formiche nei muri perché il sistema collegato al riscaldamento perde (vedi goccia sopra)", lui giustamente mi dice "ahhhh....

Hotel sempre all'altezza delle aspettative. Camere e bagni ampi e fuinzionali. Staff cortese e disponbile. E, soprattutto, colazione super! Da ritornarci.

Cons:

Se proprio devo trovare il pelo nell'uovo, il volume del televisore, anche se al minimo, rimane un po' troppo alto. I cuscini sono un po' troppo soffici per i miei gusti.
