The manager greeted us warmly and worked to have our room made available early. The location is great! The room is small but not cramped, clean and everything we needed.

Carpets were old. Using an old key to open&close the door was a struggle.No refrigerator inside the room
I often stay here when in Paris, its location is outstanding, the staff are friendly and I never have any problems.
The work being done on the hotel this time was a little annoying, could have done without the scaffolding spoiling my view from my hotel room.
Location, pleasant staff, wonderful beds! Breakfast was quite lovely and the service was very pleasant. We enjoyed being in the old basement, imagining the things those walls have seen! Front desk staff (Morad) was more than kind! We so much appreciated the upgrade to our 'mini-suite'. A/C was much appreciated as the temperature soared to over 100 (40C). We also appreciated the cold drinks in the lobby after our excursions.
Nothing...we were not even bothered by the construction noise. In fact, if we come back to Paris, we would choose this hotel again, looking forward to see the results of the construction.
La literie extra. Emplacement au top
Great little hotel, the location was great, it was close to landmarks and a nice area of the city with pleanty of restaurants, cool shops, supermarkets and atmosphere but it wasn't as busy as some other areas of paris, there was also a metro entrance close by.
The hotel staff were very friendly and spoke good English which was great for me as I speak terrible french. The bed was very comfortable, the Aircon was an absolute saviour from the 33 degree heat wave. The The shower was hot and powerful, it had a nice big bath too and there was free delicious home made lemonade in the lobby.
Downsides were the hotel was under construction in multiple areas, which as far as I noticed was not mentioned to me other than in reviews. Our view of the streets had scaffolding and building materials directly outside our window.
To be picky It was also a bit dated compared to some similar priced UK hotels I've stayed in, but I'm guessing this will be part of the renovations. And some tiny areas could have been cleaner.
Overall though these things didn't bother us as the room was very comfortable and had everything we needed, it was a little cool sanctuary from the heat after hours of walking everyday and the friendly staff made us feel welcome every time.
The hotel staff was one of the best I have ever encountered. Warm, welcoming, kind and patient. Every staff member had a ready smile and were happy to help me with my needs. The room was clean and comfortable (I stayed there during one of the summer heat waves and the AC worked perfectly). The location was perfect, I could easily get where I needed to go. There were various cafes and restaurants nearby in addition to a Carrefour Express across the street. I would definitely stay there again.

There is a nice clean bathroom with hot shower which is good for an old building. The breakfast was decent and generous. Staff are so friendly and kind and supportive.
The weather was very hot and the A/C could not cool down the room temperature. Also if you'd open the windows for some fresh air, bugs would get in because windows don't have shield. I wish the breakfast would be served in the lobbey area that is always free of guest instead of the downstairs area which was so dark and tiney.
Amazing stay at Hotel Fontaines du Luxembourg, it was not our first stay but the location is perfect and the hotel is very charming. Staff is amazing and very professional. We have asked if it was possible to get the same room than during our first stay and it was approved. For Paris vacation it is highly recommended.

There was significant building works ongoing, I really think we should have been informed of these at time of booking.

bagno molto piccolo e vecchio con vasca a tenda moquette ovunque e soprattutto era in ristrutturazione (dovevano dirlo) quindi non si potevano aprire le finesre perchè si aveva tutta la copertura davanti ed eri obbligato ad avere l'aria condizionata accesa.
