Professional property host/manager
I rented with my family and 6 grandkids 4 apartments here ..
We had the best time . The pool was great and well kept ..Peter the manager was wonderful and the drinks and snacks at poolside plentiful. Great bakery across the street for delicious breakfast pastries etc .. you need a car here .. I recommend it !
We were a big group, adults and kids and stayed in 4 different apartments. They were basic and dated but had everything needed, were comfortable, always cleaned and quiet.
The apartments are family run as many are in Cyprus, so there is a warm and welcoming vibe, with attention to guests needs, especially from the old mother, who works all day and is a lovely lady.
The location was great for latchi and polis beaches but a car is needed, if not taxis are easy.
The breakfast was good, local cyprus coffee(on request), cheeses, meats, eggs and fruits, but we preferred to use the excellent bakery across the road or the café up the road with the coloured chairs outside for a change of scenery and a local vibe.
The swimming pool is fantastic, cleaned every day, great for kids as the shallow end is 1 meter and the deepest is 1.5. The pool has some communal seating areas with cover from the hot sun which are a godsend, when needing a shady break. The bar is run by gentleman named Peter, he really helped make our stay even more enjoyable with his kind and helpful manner and good conversation, if you need snacks or drinks he is there until 6pm.
There is a restaurant across the road run by the owners son, they have good pizza and you can order from the pool bar during the day.
I would recommend it for a stay during summer time. Clean big rooms, kitchen with necessary equipment to prepare a quick lunch. Opposite there is a coffee shop with interesting snack suggestions, even healthy ones. Also next to it there is an interesting Greek Restaurant I would advise you to visit. Hotel is in the middle between the 2 villages.. Polis Chrysohous...7 min away and Port of Latsi 6 min away
Located in the city of Polis in Paphos area , Cyprus, offers budget prices for travellers or short term cisitors like my self who went in that area so that I could do my fishing hobby the next day early in the morning.
Arrived here late in the evening and mrs Pitza was waiting for us with a warm welcome
Swift check in - 5 mins which was great as we were tired from our journey
We had a room on the 3 rd floor which was comfy and spotlessly clean and v functional with great views of Polis and surrounding area
Including a sea view - lovely!
We stayed here for 9 nights and had a relaxing break and particularly enjoyed the pool - really lovely And well looked after
Spotless it was
Mrs P also did a v tasty full English
We enjoyed 4 during our stay at a cost of 6 euros - excellent value and well worth it
Lovely taverna straight across the road serving super meals with v friendly staff
The beach was a good 20 min walk which we enjoyed so much
We also enjoyed walking into Polis and Latchi
All in all it was a lovely holiday and we found this family run hotel excellent value for money, we kept the room on at no extra charge which was really very good of Mrs P
As our pick up was at 6 o clock p m
We recommend and shall return 😊
Pro’s:
1) Well priced in comparison to “on the beach” accommodation in Latchi and Poli
2) Reception is efficient and flexible for late check out
3) Good night security
4) Well sized rooms
Con’s:
1) Rooms a little dated
Was offered this room as a day room by TUI due to having a late flight from Paphos and having to depart our villa in Latchi early morning.
We were surprised at the standard, obviously we didn’t need to stay in the room as it merely was somewhere for us to leave our bags and then shower before departing for the airport but I have never experienced a place so low in standard. It was a surprise going from a luxury villa to such a poor standard of accommodation. It served its purpose but don’t really think TUI should be offering due to the condition and electricity risk this room offered.
One week stay in October
Quiet, clean and comfortable room
Nice pool with sun exposure in the afternoon
Wifi is ok but sometimes slow
Room cleaning is not every day surprisingly
Reasonable prices
Close to beach: 5 min bike or 15 min walk
It was the most disappointing apartment that a have ever stayed. You can read the reasons below.
1) We found sand and hair among the apartment. Sweeping and mopping was rarely done. Just bedded beds by the housekeepers 2) The beds were terrible. The layer was wavy and very very hard to sleep. 3) One air-condition never worked. 4) Just two electricity sockets worked correctly.
We paid about €80 per night in an apartment that might be 30 years old without breakfast for 3 nights. Big mistake. Don’t see the pictures, stay away.
Very welcoming and friendly, simple breakfast tea, coffee, bread you toast yourself, boiled eggs, cold cocktail sausages, cucumber tomatoes olives. Nice reception area which serves for breakfast eating too. Swimming pool ok could do with a clean. Rooms are big and bright, bed quite low, utensils need replacing ie sponges sink drainer broken. Bathrooms need refurbishment. Mops buckets brooms left in bathroom. Needs more thorough cleaning. Dangerous wires exposed needs sorting. Not enough plug points, no tv in bedroom. Small improvements would make this a more pleasant place to stay. Restaurant opposite serves lovely food, large portions and very cheap. Also lovely bakery across the road, supermarket too.
We went off-season, and it was very quiet. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The property is basic and tired, but the price was reasonable. The location suited us - away from the main town, but with some shops, restaurants, and a nice patisserie .
After a weeks stay in a villa in Latsi, TUI booked us this hotel for a day room. We arrived at 10am and left at 6pm.
We were given a key to a room, but when we entered the room it had not been cleaned from the previous occupants. I let reception know and the room was cleaned straight away. The staff were apologetic and the situation was sorted. We literally spent the day by the pool and only just the room for a shower before our flight back. The room was dated but air con worked and it was clean so that’s all that mattered. The pool area was ok but there was no bar facilities so we just walked over the road for lunch and snacks.
Suited our needs for the day. Unsure if I could stay a week here- to far away from “tourist” areas
+ big studio for 2 people
+ very big and comfortable bed
+ calm room (opposite side of the "main" road)
+ possibility to enjoy the swimming pool out of the opening hours (very much appreciated)
+ pleasant staff
+ parking spot at the rear of the building
+ good internet connection
- no elevator (not that I saw): for elderly people or family with kids, or with heavy luggage, no convenient
- as we stayed only one night, we can't comment on the equipment of the kitchen
Lovely friendly run hotel/apartments. Quiet and good feel about it.
We even got a room up grade. RESULT
Hotel was at a good location, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The studio had everything required for a comfortable stay. The hotel has a private parking and lots of shops nearby in case you require something.
Can't rate this accomadation highly enough, perfect location, friendly owners and nothing is too much trouble. The room was lovely and we spent hours on the balcony looking out at olive groves and the sea in the distance. It's a short walk into Polis which is a chilled Cypriot village with fab taverna's and great people. Everything you need on your doorstep, supermarket, bakery and taverna over the road. it's exactly what we love, relaxed and friendly, 5 star all inclusive accommodation is not cup of tea and this place ticked all our boxes. Would recommend and will be back!
We had asked for a quiet 1 bedroom, self-catering apartment and were given one at the back which was reasonably quiet. It lacked character but was clean and had good storage, a large bedroom, ideal sized balcony (with evening sun, perfect), powerful over-the-bath shower and met our needs well. Blackout blinds were very effective. The bed was a bit hard but we did sleep well most nights. There was soap and body wash in the bathroom, more than adequate loo roll and the apartment was serviced daily. There was WiFi but we had to move around the apartment sometimes to get it. We made good use of the pool. We were able to borrow an iron.
The location was brilliant, less than 10 mins to walk to the centre of Polis for a variety of bars and restaurants (plus ATMs and post office) but great facilities within one minute of the apartment: brilliant cheap restaurant across the road, alongside a well-stocked supermarket, a bakery and a gelateria, plus next door to a decent kebab shop and a bowling alley. We would go back again.
Starting with the positives, bed sheets and towels are very clean, which is THE most important issue for me. Staff is very friendly and willing which saddens me to write a negative review. Also, next to the lodging is probably one of the best Gyro houses in Cyprus and across the street you can find two mini markets and an excellent bakery, which is very convenient. That is about it on the plus side.
What strikes the most with the hotel-apartments is how seriously dated they are. I previously visited this place somewhere about 20-22 years ago (it was called “Lover’s Nest” –not what the title implied though) and it has probably not had any renovation since. Furniture is seriously dated. One of the a/c units was so old I was afraid to switch it on. The toilet ventilator is all about noise and no suction. The bath tub had mould around the edges and the shower certain was uninviting. The toilet seat had permanent yellow stains!!! Upon arrival I decided that a disinfectant was necessary so I went out and I bought one.
Kitchen equipment: There was an ancient electric stove and a kitchen ventilator. The ventilator had no tube to take fumes outside the apartment so it is practically useless. However there was only one power socket for the both of them! The socket didn’t work!
In fact, in my apt at least 3-4 sockets had something stuck inside them that didn’t allow the plugs to be fully inserted and thus didn’t work. Seems like either an intended problem or a serious lack of property maintenance.
My room was on the front of the building, by the road which was noisier. There were two aluminium sliding doors/windows for added insulation and sound proofing. However the sliding doors wouldn’t lock so anyone could easily jump on the balcony from next door and pop into the apartment effortlessly.
My company stayed at another apartment with similar issues. Their main bed was supported by a brick (something wrong with the bed balance).
Also, the place is full of small ants that would bite and leave a small infection (found in the bathroom, on the towels, etc). Couldn’t leave food lying around nowhere, not even sealed tight inside a plastic bag. There were also silverfish in one of the apartments.
There are 4-5 covered parking spots for the whole complex and an empty plot of land at the back of the complex where residents can also park (the plot is not illuminated or covered with asphalt).
Wifi: No reception in rooms. Probably only in the lobby.
I wouldn’t stay there again, but if I had to I wouldn’t value it for more that €25-30/night. I had to pay an outrageous amount of €80/night (breakfast not included).
no wifi in the room as they said on the website, found some glasses pieces on the floor.
this was our first staying at this hotel and it was lovely spotless clean and very comfortable apartment the pool area was nice and we had drinks pool side and lunch the food was very good home made this is a very nice family run hotel appartments we will go back again x x
