The Westin Phoenix Downtown

Really well located for downtown Phoenix staff friendly and helpful rooms massive some have showers, some have bath with shower. Great views of the mountains at sunrise, gym good with really good equipment. Vending machine in lobby for those essentials you might have forgotten.

We were here for my son's volleyball tournament and had a great stay. We had reserved a 2-queen room through the tournament organizer and were given a corner room (I am titanium on Bonvoy) that was extremely spacious and worked well for three people. The lounge breakfast buffet was fantastic and had lots of options. The hotel gym was solid. The lobby restaurant / bar was good as well. My only complaint was tat the lounge had this machine for making individual coffees (like just regular coffee) that was a huge bottleneck on the first day of the tournament, when the lounge was very crowded. But the hotel remedied this by having coffee urns ready on the second and third days - good adjustment.

This was the second time my wife and I stayed at this location now and I would say the first experience a couple years ago was better. This time we decided to upgrade (pay more for) our room experience when booking our staycation to a corner studio and were hoping for an awesome view based on the pictures. Instead we got the lowest Northwestern corner studio right up against an apartment building. Instead of a room with a view we were entertained by residents next door playing guitar in the window and based on reflections I am pretty sure they could see us. The check in experience wasn't the best either. There were originally 3 people at the front desk, zero greeting and then when check in time came around all but 1 (trainee based on name tag) disappeared. We got checked in, short, simple, no explanation of anything. Luckily we already knew where everything was from our first stay. Initially we ended up getting double charged for the room, the manager without coming out of their office reversed the charge. As for the room, it was big, but seems like it is falling apart in places, feels a bit old, large wrinkles in the carpet, shower handle that slowly shuts itself off, curtains that have a hard time closing and no sheer curtains. The positive about this place is that the location is great and walking distance to everything. The room was also surprisingly quiet. It is very unfortunate that our second experience wasn't as good as the first, guess I expected more for the cost and for that I had to drop the review a couple stars from the original.

From check in to my bedding and room it was top notch! Justin the front desk manager MADE my stay! He could not have been more helpful, accommodating and kind and found a way to make me happy and comfortable! I got exactly what I asked for when I asked for a quiet room. I never sleep well at hotels but I did here! The views from the 18th floor were OUTSTANDING and the bedding was SO unbelievably comfortable! The club level was worth it in my opinion and the staff in the club breakfast were great as well! The cooler full of waters and pop was perfect. The only thing they were missing was a Starbucks in the hotel. They DID have Starbucks coffee at the club level though. I visited my friends hotel comparable price wise and Westin is way better. I would 100% stay here again! The gym even had Pelotons so I was able to work out. Loved my stay and was sad to leave. Thank you Justin for making it perfect!

The room was huge.

The property was absolutely beautiful and the location was great and convenient! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The restaurant attached to the hotel was incredible. My room was so beautiful with a great view, me and my boyfriend had a wonderful time! Will definitely stay here again.

The valet parking was seamless and the valets worked extra hard to make us happy (we forgot multiple items in the vehicle multiple times). Clean bathrooms.

The corner king suite with the bath tub was absolutely beautiful. Me and my husband watched the sun rise together and it was breathtaking! We will definitely be back.
