It is better to choose the Recoleta neighborhood.
Pros:

The staff at the front desk were polite, and the location is very convenient. But the street itself is just a nightmare at night: filthy, full of trash, and lots of homeless people around. The superior triple room is quite spacious. The convenient part is that it comes equipped with a kitchenette: you can't actually cook there, but there is a table to sit and eat at, along with a microwave and a kettle. There was a fridge, but we couldn't figure out whether it worked or not.

Cons:

The breakfasts were terrible. The fruit was hard and tasteless, the pastries were bad, and honestly, everything was just unappealing. The coffee was awful too. Sometimes they ran out of milk, and the cutlery wasn't always clean. Even though we paid for breakfast, we ended up skipping it most of the time because there was nothing worth eating anyway.

The rooms were very dusty, and the surrounding streets were dirty, especially at night, with a strong smell of trash and unhoused people. The water pressure in the shower was weak, and the water was occasionally lukewarm at best.
