Gardens
Lack of staff. They advertise bar food and couldn’t provide it. No restaurants nearby. We were stranded in hotel without food. Couldn’t even make a sandwich!! Housekeeping didn’t freshen room up. Bath plug not working and when we asked for help they just released it and didn’t fix the problem.
Aaron the manager wasn’t sympathetic and only said sorry but wasn’t interested in giving a refund and actually added gratuity to bill. So our experience wasn’t good. I certainly wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my friends.
روعة المكان والاطلالة و تعامل الموظفين
الأثاث قديم نوعا ما و عدم وجود ثلاجة
Location and rooms.
Some of the waiting staff could be a bit abrupt at breakfast time.
The staff were very friendly (esp lady on reception). The house itself is beautiful, as are the gardens. The location is perfect- everything is accessible by foot.
I stayed in one of the attic rooms. It wasn’t terrible, but I would request a different room next time. It was the middle of a heat wave, so being at the top of the house was uncomfortable. The ceilings made it difficult to sit up in bed. For the price it was reasonable though.
Beautiful historic building in lovely surroundings.
The staff's attitude was disappointing which ruined my stay.
Both dinner and breakfast were far below expectations in terms of quality and overall experience.
Good selection.
Rooms could have been serviced on a more regular basis.
Staff were extremely helpfull, the food was absolutely amazing morning and evening. Secure parking , rooms were really comfortable, gardens stunning and the entertainment brilliant.
Nothing
Wonderful stay,.Fabulous garden area...Staff are so obliging...nothing too much trouble..Food amazing..
There was nothing we didn't like...
The hotel was in a very lovely setting. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The choice of breakfast was very good and tasted even better.
The hotel is quite hard to find with a sat nav the postcode takes you to an entrance you can not use.
Staff very friendly. Breakfast staff better on 2nd day when management present. Location and gardens brilliant. good Breakfast
Breakfast staff better on 2nd day when management present. Unfortunately one of the meals was not great but got refunded.
The room was very comfortable and the location was great. Just a 5 min drive to the pier and the shops and restaurants. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was really good.
Breakfast was open only after 8am. We had an early start in the morning to our next destination and hence had to skip breakfast. They should consider providing a box take away breakfast for those who plan to leave early
The property and gardens are beautiful
Some of the garden was unkept (the long grass on the hill at the back is an eyesore )
Everything. Excellent value.
Nothing
Room was clean, beds were comfortable. The breakfast was very good and freshly cooked to order.
The staff didn’t seem happy, no smiles no words of welcome. Rather scruffy clothes. Glasses left on bar tables for hours.
General ambiance ,relaxed atmosphere with friendly helpful staff
Nothing in particular but stairs and luggage not my preference although staff offered a helping hand
Staff were brilliant all through our stay, especially reception who went above and beyond to help us as we had a guest with a broken ankle.
The food was fresh, local and excellent and the hotel itself was full of character and charm.
Drinks selection was limited, other than that it was all excellent.
