Likes everything
Everything was lovey had such a calm warm feel to it. Reception Staff were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Breakfast was lovely. Beds were so comfy. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back to visit again
The property was well laid out ,the room was very spacious and clean

Wi-Fi形同虚设，洗澡水不热，沟通了三次 才有人来挑了一下水温，但蓬蓬头出水太小的问题知道我们住满六天离店也没有得到解决，前台的Liz 小姐很不客气的答复我，这里是山区，条件就这样，可和我们二房之隔的另外一个房间 ，水温和水流却都很好！所以Liz小姐的理由是不成立的！
最最让我们伤心难过的，还是遇到了来英生活近十年来最糟糕的歧视！早餐是8-10点， 入住的第三天早上，我们赶在10点前去吃早餐，当时应该是9:40多一点，餐厅几乎没有了客人，于是我们四人选了一个靠窗风景不错的位置正准备坐下，结果被服务员制止，解释道z由于是5人桌所以我们四个人不可以坐，没有多想我们就重新选了个四人座坐下用餐，结果3分钟不到，另一个英国家庭的一家四口 走进了餐厅，也选中了我们之前被服务员禁止使用的座位，服务员却换了一副态度，非常殷勤的接待了他们！我们都要看傻眼了，特别是我的小儿子，他一个劲的问我为什么？我不知道怎么和他解释！ 事后 我礼貌的和前台小姐Liz反应情况，想提醒她们注意一下，毕竟我们后面还有好几天要住在这里，如果再有这样的事情发生就太闹心了，特别我们是全家出来度假庆祝中国新年的，中国人很在意新年新气象，好彩头不是吗？可让我们意外的是， Liz小姐非但没有任何歉意，反而恶狠狠的通知我，那一家本来是五口人，也和我们一样定了二个房间，一家三口和爷爷奶奶祖孙三代共5人住店，服务员让他们坐那张桌子是理所当然，只是女孩的爸爸并没有下来吃饭！ 我听完，都傻眼了， 因为那个所谓的一家三口中的小女孩已经是个成年人，怎么可能和她父母共挤一间房？ 但Liz小姐这样说，我们也没办法！可凑巧的是，当我们准备出门去玩的时候，刚好碰到吃早餐的这家退房离店，我们还礼貌的打了招呼， 闲聊了二句，最后她们也还是一家四口 （爷爷奶奶，妈妈女儿共四人）开一辆车 离开了！意识到Liz小姐，居然撒谎，回想她面对我们提出意见时粗鲁的态度，我和家人商量了一下，决定这样的酒店不是我们想度假的地方，而且如果她们有性别歧视，或者说种种细节已经表明我们并不受欢迎，那么干嘛还要住在这里呢，所以我们就拨通了Booking .come 的客服电话！
综上所述，这是一次非常糟糕的住店体验！
强烈建议，如果不是英国本地人，还是谨慎入住，因为花钱住酒店，还被歧视的感受真心非常糟糕！ 好好一家出行的假期和
美好心情都被毁了！
The room was excellent and the service was very good. The meal was excellent and I would have given a 5 star review except for the overcharging. The drinks were expensive. unfortunately we were overcharged and too much money was taken from my credit card. I think drinks we paid for at the bar were charged again to my card. This hotel was very good apart from the fact that they overcharged us and did not give us a copy of the bill so we could see what they were charging us for. I know there was a gratuity added but we were still overcharged I doubt due to this dishonesty I will return
Quirky hotel and love all the memorabilia associated with Beatrix Potter, massive effort.
We were there for NYE Eve and the hotel’s Christmas decorations looked fabulous.
Stayed for breakfast, scrambled egg for me, it was very nice.
Room was in the loft with a massive roof window, enjoyed watching the sky, room was cosy clean and warm with coffee etc, bed very comfortable.
Only downside was that you could other people’s TV and them talking.
Fabulous hotel, lovely staff, gorgeous room, throughly enjoyed our 2 night break with dinner in the also beautiful restaurant.

Gorgeous gardens, exceptional views, very tidy suite, good breakfast, friendly and helpful reception staff
Felt rushed at breakfast when we had booked for 10am and then the staff cleared all of the buffet away before we were done. We had sat down at 10am as booked time and by 10.08 they had cleared it all away.
It is absolutely gorgeous, so spacious in the rooms and the setting of the property is stunning.
