An attractive hotel with an interesting link to Beatrice Potter. The public areas are open and airy and nicely furnished on a theme. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful. We had spacious room and a comfortable bed. Great that the windows open to let in a breeze. The gardens were calm and restful.
The bar food was tasty but a bit over priced. Though it was good to have the choice of being able to eat at the hotel, rather than walking into Bowness-on-Windermere that was very busy.
Good location and lovely gardens.

Room was spacious and well appointed
Plastic shower
Outstanding decor downstairs in the lounge, restaurant etc. Pretty gardens with outdoor furniture. Excellent chef/food. Non residents come to dine there also. 20 min walk to Bowness or £5 Uber (ish). Staff very pleasant. Small gift shop. Games and books available to use.
Small bathroom. Pillows are very hard but soft ones provided on request. Mattresses are quite the opposite, quite soft. We had a room on the 2nd floor (no lift) but is the case with many of these older hotels. Carpets in bedroom and some furniture a little worn/damaged. That said, we really enjoyed our stay.
In a beautiful setting with two separate outdoor seating areas. Lovely views from our top floor bedroom. I absolutely loved the decor - it was very quirky and stylish. The dining room, bar and seating areas were beautiful. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Our room was great - everything you could wish for. Connection to Beatrix Potter very interesting.
Only drawback was no lift so quite a lot of stairs to climb (however the stairs were worth the climb as our room was great).
Interesting

Location, peacefulness.
Food a little overpriced for choice.
Schöner Garten. Sehr reichhaltiges, gutes Frühstück.
Zu weiche Matrazen
Peaceful location
I have just come home from Lindeth How after staying for my 27th anniversary, I can HONESTLY say, I have stayed at many hotels in different parts of the lakes, this is the best experience so far. From the moment we arrived we were treated special, this must happen to all guests, from reserving us a disabled parking space, to accommodating my coeliac/ lactose intolerant conditions and my husbands Crohn's disease, NOTHING was too much trouble, food was great, we ate in the restaurant in the evening but the bar in the day, staff was wonderful, all of them, a true pearl in the lakes, will definitely be returning, thank you Lindeth for making our anniversary so special. They even located books for me as I had forgotten to bring one, loved it
The property was a little walk into Windermere, but you could go through the gardens to make it easier and quicker. The staff were good and couldn’t do enough to help and make our stay comfortable. Car parking was free which was an added bonus.
There wasn’t really anything we didn’t like, but would have liked air conditioning in our room, but for the little hot weather we have it’s not a deal breaker, when we stayed it was extremely hot.
Ligging en parking.
Slechte wifi. Onhandig sanitair. Onprofessionele bediening.
. de betaling, we hadden dubbel gereserveerd, werd goed opgelost
. de ligging, de tuin, het ontbijt
kamer was wat ouder, en had wat gebreken
