We had a great stay at Hotel Schatten and will definitely be coming back!
Pros:

We had a great experience at Hotel Schatten! The room was extremely clean and comfortable, the views were amazing, and all staff members were super friendly and helpful. The location is within walking distance to the Hauptbahnhof and local shops and restaurants, but in a quieter spot outside the city. We were able to check in early, and on our check out day the staff held onto our luggage so we could go hiking. We received a free upgrade to a balcony room, and when we ended up extending our stay by one night, we were able to stay in the same room. The Brötchen ordering service was also very convenient. When I return to Garmisch, I will definitely be staying here again! :)

Cons:

The bells during the night and early in the morning were a bit annoying, but you can't complain with the views and location!

Guter Aufenthalt - mit kleinen Abstrichen
Pros:

Für unseren Aufenthalt im Hotel Schatten haben wir uns ganz spontan entschieden – und wurden insgesamt positiv überrascht.

Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen, was direkt einen guten ersten Eindruck hinterlassen hat. Das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet: Es gab einen Mini-Kühlschrank, eine kleine Sitzecke sowie einen Fernseher. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die gemütlichen Betten, in denen man wirklich gut schlafen konnte. Praktisch fanden wir auch, dass man sich Teller und Besteck aus der Küche holen durfte – so konnte man problemlos auch mal auf dem Zimmer essen.

Cons:

Ein paar kleinere Punkte sind uns allerdings auch aufgefallen: Aus der Dusche kam gelegentlich ein etwas strenger Geruch, was den ansonsten guten Eindruck leicht getrübt hat. Zudem wird aktuell wohl kein klassisches Frühstück mehr angeboten, sondern lediglich ein Brötchen-Lieferdienst – das sollte man vorab wissen.

Was das Parken angeht, gibt es in der Straße zwar kostenlose Möglichkeiten. Sollte dort jedoch alles belegt sein, kann man auf den Hotelparkplatz ausweichen, dieser ist allerdings kostenpflichtig.

Insgesamt hatten wir dennoch einen angenehmen Aufenthalt – vor allem durch die freundliche Atmosphäre und die praktische Ausstattung.

Das Hotel ist in der Nähe von wunderschöne Ludwigstraße,wo alle Gebäude mit Luftmalerei sind! Fantastisch! Berge vom Fenster sichtbar sind! Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! wir können nur weiter empfehlen! Ich möchte wiederkommen.
Pros:

Wir haben zwei Zimmer für zwei Nächte gemietet. Uns allen gefielen die Lage, die Sauberkeit und die Ausstattung und freundliches Personal Hotels sehr gut. Der Netto-Supermarkt, Bushaltestellen, Cafés und Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar. Zum Bahnhof braucht man 15–20 Minuten. Nach unseren Spaziergängen fühlten wir uns im Zimmer wie zu Hause – es war warm und gemütlich. Ich kann es nur empfehlen.

Cons:

Mir hat alles gefallen.
