Located on the business side of Shinjuku. Comfortable walk to main areas for shopping and social activities. Three metro stations close by so very easy to get around Tokyo including to the airport. As to be expected for Tokyo, room was small but could have been configured better to accomodate luggage and clothes for a a couple. Rubbish and towel service took a while to be understood but worked.
The key problem was the breakfast service (which was selected and pre-paid at booking) - if you can call it that. Frozen and bland meals were collected from foyer to be heated and eaten in the room which was already crowded and essentially ended up being eaten on the bed. Wouldn’t have stayed here if this breakfast approach had been declared - not an enjoyable experience to start the day.
I had an excellent stay at Tokyu Stay Nishi Shinjuku and would happily stay here again when I return to Tokyo later this year.
We booked a corner room, and I was honestly surprised by how spacious it was. Not only was it large by Japanese standards, but it was also very comfortable by Western standards. The room included a sink and a small kitchen area, with a separate toilet room and a proper shower area rather than just a shower inside the bathtub, something we really appreciated.
The bed was super comfy, and despite being in Tokyo, the room was surprisingly quiet, which made for a very restful night’s sleep. Having a washer-dryer in the room was also a great touch.
The location worked very well for us. There were several konbinis nearby and a CoCo Ichibanya just down the street. We could easily walk to the nearest subway station, and the Airport Limousine Bus stop at the Hilton was only about a 7-minute walk away, making airport transfers very convenient.
The amenities were excellent. The amenity bar at reception offered a wide selection of toiletries and extras to choose from, while slippers and pajamas were already provided in the room. The coffee and ice machines were fantastic and something we used regularly throughout our stay.
The staff were wonderful throughout our stay, but one member of the reception team in particular left a lasting impression. Unfortunately, I forgot his name, but he provided some of the best customer service I’ve ever experienced!
My fiancé was trying to contact a company regarding a piece of equipment he hoped to purchase, and we were having difficulty communicating and sorting everything out. This staff member not only helped us make the initial call, but contacted the company multiple times in an effort to assist us. His kindness, patience, and willingness to help were truly remarkable. He absolutely did not have to go to such lengths for us, and I was genuinely touched by how invested he was in helping us solve the problem.
Niets!
It was clean, convenient to 2 subway stations, McDonalds next door, Coco Ichiban Curry House next door, 2 Family Mart and a 7-11 in 5 minutes walking distance. Heart of Shinjuku is a 15 minute walk. The room was clean, efficient, and quiet. Staff was amazing and so helpful.
The staff were great, the room was comfy and clean, and the location is perfect - the station is very close to the hotel so travelling anywhere is super easy. There's a washer/dryer which was very useful on a 15 day trip!
Breakfast was bad! In fact, let us not call it a breakfast when compared with what we had at the other hotels. It was a morning snack.
Rooms were real small. I knew that the rooms at Tokyo are small ,but this was smaller because they put extra stuff and they are occupying some space.
Our room was amazing! Equipped with washing machine, sink, microwave, fridge and freezer. Very comfy bed and pillows. Toiletries and tea/ coffee supplied and more in reception. Staff were friendly and went above and beyond to help us with a delivery we got to the hotel. Also in walking distance to train station, 7/11 and family mart, mcdonalds etc. Highly recommend
