Where to begin? Immediately after booking, I received an email that there were some renovations going on. They would do their best to make sure it didn’t impact us and thanks for our consideration. As we booked this day before, we figured we’d try it and see what it looked like. Here’s what that meant: no working elevator, and there’s no porter so carry your bags. Also, the room did not have working heat or AC. They brought in a portable AC unit which barely kept it at about 76°, so it was better simply to open the door and let the outside air come in at night. Since they had a space heater sitting there as well, it appears they’re not going to have heat anytime soon for the coming winter. The staff was fine, the bar was fine, the website said nothing about parking, which is convenient and covered and on property. It is walking distance to Universal, the Baked Potato, and several restaurants. But, at nearly $400 a night, it was overpriced for the value I received.
The room was super clean and huge! We loved the separate living room area and used it as sleeping quarters for our daughter. The air conditioning was also powerful and so comfortable! The only complaint I have is that the room smelled heavily of bleach when we first arrived. However, that dissipated by the evening!
Easy check in and out progress. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Overall great place to stay and I would stay again
Great spot
The staff was very nice and welcoming also helpful. The room was clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.
We stayed for one night and thought about leaving. The entire hotel on the 3rd floor where we stayed smelled like a urinal cake and bleach. The showers were a mess to use even with the instructions provided…iv never used a shower that had pictures on how to operate it. It’s like a motel 6 that got a fresh coat of paint and then charged 350 for a night because they are nearish to Universal Studios. The staff were very friendly so that’s where the stars come from.
Even under renovation the rooms were nice and clean . Staff was super nice and friendly, they went above and beyond each and everyone of them . Guest service bartender room service . Everyone was very nice and polite
We stayed for one night only. We were surprised at how spacious the room was, with 2 king sized beds, which was perfect for our group! Check in was a breeze, even got coupon for 2 free drinks at the bar. Location is perfect, close to Universal Studios. Staff was friendly. Only hiccup was the phone in the room was not working, could not call the front desk.
It’s about a 20-minute walk to Universal Studios—you go under the highway and then up a hill. You can walk, bike, or scooter there. Our room had a kitchen, but it was completely empty—no dishes, cookware, or tableware. We had to request everything and then wait for it to arrive. We chose this hotel mainly for the location (close to Universal) and the option to cook, but the area itself isn’t great. Still, if you’re going to Universal Studios, you save quite a bit by staying here.
Clean room, easy check in. Great for a visit to Universal.
Great room and service
The staff were pretty friendly ,the beds were very comfortable but the shower floor was nasty and there was cockroaches in the bathroom.
Dont like the double parking
Everything was great.
I want to highlight the very candid and helpful staff the hotel has. They are responsive and supportive on your needs. Definitely will come back.
The check in area smelled so good, however once I got to my floor it had a very strong musty smell. The skirt of my bed was dirty, but other than the staff was great. it is walking distance from US.
Very old hotel rooms....loud, you can hear your neighbors as if they are in the room and also smell their food they cook. Awesome lobby though amd they gave me 2 free drink tickets for the bar when I checked in.
The room was very large, close to Universal, good parking. We had no issues here.
The staff was very nice and friendly. Everything was clean. I like that it had a bar although I didn’t get a chance to have a drink there.
There's a bar in the hotel. It's a hotel that has been renovated. Close to universal studios which makes it very convenient. Traffic is very audible because of how close to the freeway this hotel is. Parking available on site. Good for a night stay.
