Velamar Boutique Hotel - Adults Friendly

A lovely 3 nights in the Velamar We had a room on the 2nd floor woth a sea view which was very nice. A lovely live singer around the pool on Friday afternoon she was really good.
A great choice at breakfast on the roof top restaurant.
All of the staff were helpful, polite and friendly.
Overall a lovely hotel and can recommend staying there.

The staff and their service is what sets this hotel apart from their competitors! The food was really high standard and well priced. Beach is close by and has a lovely beach bar. Would stay again!

Rooms and staff were wonderful

Really excellent hotel, especially for the price. The room was really comfy and clean. Breakfast was really tasty, lots of options and the pool, although not huge, always had space to sit and relax. One of the servers was a little odd, did a joke scare to my pregnant wife which wasn't very clever, but the rest of the staff were golden. Some good restaurants and beach within walking distance. We like the tapas place down by the beach. Couldn't recommend more

The staff was incredibly kind, patient and helpful! The room was comfortable.

Great location, lovely pool, staff were all excellent, room was spacious with nice terrace. Breakfast was good with lots of variety.
Drinks vouchers for towel change opt out is a nice touch.
I’d like to have had more supply of water - if your focus is sustainability, help guests avoid having to buy plastic bottles of water.
The roof top is beautiful, I don’t know why this isn’t used as the restaurant/bar. The current one is so dark that it’s not inviting.

It's a nice small hotel

We ended up staying here for a night after being stranded in Portugal due to the blackouts. We were stressed, tired, and a little run down but this hotel completely brightened things up. The hotel and rooms were lovely, the staff were excellent and we couldn't believe our luck. Thank you for turning our experience around and helping us end our (extended) holiday on a high!

Had a solo 9 night break here. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel very clean.and well kept as was the pool. Boutique hotel so pool.was small but there was a pool bar. Entertainment on several nights during my stay including Fado...traditional Portuguese music. Great breakfast with wide variety of dishes and a lovely terrace to sit out at.

Very good hotel everything about the hotel was excellent, bedroom clean and comfortable, breakfast was very good with lots of choices and best of all the staff were excellent. Would highly recommend.

There was a very strong smell of smoking around the pool - think coming from the neighbours. I asked for a late check out but seemed a standard answer no chance - not even half an hour. No nibbles or crisps available at the bar which is strange and easy to fix. Very clean though. Good breakfast. Comfy beds and sheets. A few easy improvements could really make the difference here.
