Budget Inn By Capital O Oskaloosa Near Pella

The room was VERY clean, but there was no alarm clock and the TV remote needed a battery as per the notice on the screen. Also there basically almost nothing to watch on the tv other than commercials, hardly any real channels to watch any programs of interest. All we got was NOT AVAILABLE, channel after channel.

We have stayed here a couple of times. The family running this establishment are amazing. The wifi is a little wonky. But it is clean, the beds are comfy and they are continuously improving the property.

I liked the comfort of the bed. I did not like the outside surrounding area was dirty and old. Also, when I booked the reservation the motel said the King size beds were full. When I checked in the motel was empty and it was a late check-in.

Nice stay

Property was very clean. Bed was comfortable. No chair or table with chairs in the room except an office type chair at the desk that the TV was on but there was a whole corner of the room with nothing in it. I do not like sitting on the bed as it hurts my neck and back and if I were to sit in the chair at the desk then no one would be able to watch TV. Also the bathroom door did not shut. The coffee pot was on top of the fridge and there was no where to plug it in so I had to move it over to the night stand every morning to make coffee. These were just minor inconveniences but the room was very comfortable. Enjoyed our stay.

Didn't like the ppl outside just hanging out made me feel very uncomfortable.

What a fantastic little place. It doesn’t look like anything special from the outside, but it was very nice in the rooms. A very sweet lady checked us in, offered us waters, and even had little Tulip cookies for the Tulip Time Festival in Pella. Super sweet and kind and made us feel welcome. Bed was comfortable and the stay worked out great.

Only complaint was the overwhelming fragrance smell when we first got to the room - might be a cleaner or detergent. I am sensitive to smells and get migraines so we left for dinner and had to leave the window open and return with our own cinnamon air freshener (helps mask). My husband could smell it so but wasn’t super bothered by it, but this was the only thing I would improve.

The room was very cold. (Low 30's outside) even with the heat set at 85.
