Lovely old iconic building, very central lovely decor, very friendly staff and excellent breakfast in the morning.
Only 1 small point and not really a problem but the hospitality tray could have more options and maybe a wee bit of Scottish Shortbread etc. would also have liked to know if the cans of water & the Tunnock Carmel Wafers in the fridge were complimentary??? If so that's a brilliant touch but please let the guest know (we didn't touch them as afraid of a big bill at checkout. Apart from that we had a really lovely stay and would highly recommend this hotel.
Staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was nice. Location was good.
Cleanliness of bathroom and room was very poor. Food in restaurant of an evening wasn't good - and room service very poor.

I lost my charger and cables while I was changing rooms in the same hotel
I definitely know I left it in old room as my luggage is kept in locker room while new room was cleaning. I did not receive back my charger and it’s really annoying as I was literally not out of hotel yet. Apart from that everything was good especially food

Great breakfast and attentative staff. Since the coffee machine in my room didn't work I was allowed to ask for coffee or tea any time at the bar or via room service.

Was put in a wheelchair accessible room which was not designed for a 6 ft man, asked to change but hotel said no other rooms. Paid &190 for the room with No breakfast, totally overoriced, little that booking. Com could do, which was a shame I won’t use again
