Quiet, comfortable retreat from the busy streets of Kyoto.
Pros:

The location was great-right in the heart of the shopping and eating district of Kyoto. Pretty easy to access the train lines. The beds were very comfortable and the climate control easy to use.

Pros:

Das Frühstück war sehr gut und die Lage ist wirklich top.

Cons:

Das Fenster war noch einmal verkleidet und man konnte es nicht mal einen Spalt aufmachen. Dadurch fühlt sich bei mehreren Übernachtungen schon sehr eingesperrt.

Great location and quiet hotel. Great soaker tub.

Would have liked it a bit darker, the tatami screen over the window didn’t make it dark enough for us.

Great location, Very clean spacious room. Loved Kyoto . Close to old and new areas.

Awesome location, room and comfortable beds.
Pros:

Awesome location, lovely room and comfortable beds. We stayed here three nights and it was a comfortable home away from home. It was walking distance to many attractions including Gion and the markets. It was next to the direct line to Osaka and very easy to transfer forward.

Cons:

Nothing. We loved our stay.

Pros:

Greta location. Hotel is located very very close to the main shopping areas like nishiki market. Walking to gion area was also okay. Despite the crowd, we did not hear any sounds from our rooms. Rooms are a decent size and very clean.

Decent stay in Sanjo area.
Pros:

Close distance to the shopping area and the riverside so it is very convenient.

Cons:

I wish that the toilet didn’t smell so bad. The hotel building seems old so it can’t be help, but I recommend more effort in cleaning.

The location was great & very convenient as close to city centre & shops. The staff were very friendly & helpful.

Cons:

The batroom was a bit small & the windows were frosted so couldn not see the view outside.
