No tengo nada negativo que resaltar

We stayed at this hotel from June 26 to July 1. First of all, it is important to mention that the hotel itself was not our main priority. We came to Madeira mainly to explore the island and spend our days sightseeing. That is why we chose a reasonably priced hotel rather than a higher-end property. Based on the price and the existing reviews, we knew we should not expect a luxury 4-star experience, and we were prepared to make some compromises. Unfortunately, our stay was more disappointing than we had anticipated.

Positive points:
• The location is excellent: close to Funchal and perfectly situated with easy access to the main roads, making it ideal for exploring the island.
• The price is very reasonable for Madeira.

Negative points:

Parking
Parking spaces are very limited. However, this was already mentioned in many previous reviews, so we cannot really complain about it.

The room
• We had requested one double bed when making our reservation, but instead we were given two single beds pushed together.
• There were no power outlets in the bathroom.
• The wall-mounted hairdryer had such a short cable that it did not even reach the mirror.
• There was no proper shower, only a bathtub with a shower curtain. As a result, the bathroom floor was flooded after every shower.
• The door handle was damaged.
• The air conditioning was extremely noisy, making it difficult to sleep.

Breakfast
The breakfast was decent but lacked variety, especially when it came to sweet options. What surprised us most was that all four coffee machines were empty at the same time during breakfast. This is difficult to understand in a hotel of this size.

Dinner
We had dinner at the hotel once. The buffet offered very little variety. On the other hand, the glass of wine was filled almost to the top, which was rather unusual.

Pool and bar
Despite the pool area being relatively quiet, we often had to wait between 10 and 15 minutes to receive a drink.

Common areas was not in order.

Room was very dingy and not as bright and clean colourful as pictured, it is very old fashioned hotel, that definitely needs revamping and modernising. As they assert dress codes for eating times the hotel is not as high rated compared to others for that kind of request to be honest.

Acesso

There are few things the hotel could do a little better.

There could have been a little bit more information at check in about any events happening at the hotel. They held different themed nights, however not much information around how to book it.

The cleaning standards in our room were not very good. When we moved in to our room there was quite a bit of dust around and inside the wardrobe, as well as the floor wasn't well cleaned.The bedsheets although they were fresh, they had some sort of stains on them. Throughout our stay, even though the room was cleaned daily it felt rushed. The cleaning standards were just a little low.

The hotel room had a kettle, but no tea or coffee available in the room- no information whether you need to supply your own or to ask hotel staff.

The hotel takes €10 for a beach towel hire- most 4* hotels I stayed in give you a card to exchange for a beach towel and if the card isn't returned upon checkout they charge you a fee. They also charge you €1, everytime you want to change your beach towel for a fresh one.

We booked superior room for 3 people. The extra bed mattress was of poor standard. Not very comfortable. We had to put extra blankets under the bedsheet as you could feel the mattress springs coming through when sleeping.

La chambre était vétuste et manque de prises électriques. La télévision, posée sur le bureau au lieu d'être fixée au mur, impossible de mettre d'objets sur le bureau sans gêner la visibilité. Le ménage ce n'était pas du lux. Les deux ascenseurs étaient petits et il y avait souvent la queue aux heures de pointe. Le petit-déjeuner était bon et varié. Le dîner, servi sous formule de buffet, c'était plutôt moyen. Le parking est minuscule et les places sont attribuées selon le principe du premier arrivé, premier servi. Le stationnement sur la voie publique est presque par tout payant sur l'île.
