A bit expensive
The room was clean and nice. Only one elevator was a little inconvenient. Location was great for Wickford and Newport. The breakfast was just ok. Overall the place was good
We liked the mini kitchen area
Extremely noise and overpriced with bad food (breakfast)
This is a very nice, clean newer hotel. Not too far from Providence, URI, Wickford Village, Narragansett Beaches and Newport. Something to do in all directions. Comfortable bed and the room had a descent kitchenette for longer stays. Included breakfast had good choices. There's a gym and pool on the main floor. Across the street is a good sized shopping center with alternate places to eat. Would like to see a mirror in the main room. Only one is located in the bathroom. We'll keep this hotel on our list for a return visit down the road.
Amazing!!
Didn't like the price. Have stayed at similar with less expensive price in the past.
Very noisy environment- not hotels fault but many sirens throughout the night. Beds extremely hard. Nice breakfast options.
I did not like that breakfast was served on paper plates, cups, and with plastic cutlery. Why?
Clean & centrally located
My wife and I had the worst stay of our lives in our recent stay at TownePlace Suites Providence North Kingstown on July 3rd. It has been incredibly frustrating to explain this situation multiple times without resolution, and I hope that a manager can help us receive proper customer service. We booked it from July 3 to 6, but only stayed one night at Providence North Kingstown.
Upon our arrival, we discovered that the room was not clean. The air conditioning unit was dirty, the refrigerator was unclean, the sheets had stains, and the shower was in such poor condition that we didn't want to use it. Additionally, the toilet was dirty and contained hair. The bed was uncomfortable, and we did not sleep well that night, leaving us wishing we had stayed home.
I reported these issues to a customer representative through the Marriott Bonvoy app, and we agreed that I would check out the next morning, with a promise to return my 97,000 points along with my free night, which I used for this stay. When we checked out at the front desk, everyone confirmed that my points would be refunded.
Afterward, we booked a stay at the Residence Inn Providence Lincoln by Marriott from July 4 to July 6, planning to use points for that stay too. However, we did not have sufficient points for the second hotel, so we had to pay with our credit card, which is fine, but not part of our original plan. On the first night at the Residence Inn, the air conditioner did not work, and we were subsequently moved to a new room the following morning, which was finally satisfactory on the last night. Yet, the experience of repeatedly packing our belongings to change rooms created a stressful and exhausting weekend for us, one that we had hoped would be relaxing.
When I checked the Marriott Bonvoy app, I saw that only 43,300 points were returned for our first hotel stay. I contacted customer service and was advised to wait 10 days for the remaining points. After that period, I reached out again, only to be told to wait 12 to 14 days. After waiting the full 14 days, I contacted them once more, and they seemed unaware of my situation, stating they would only refund the first night and not return the points. I had used a free night, and given our prior agreement regarding our departure on July 4, I felt this was unacceptable.
To summarize, I now find myself in a position where I paid with points, my free night, and cash. We used multiple payment methods throughout the weekend due to our room changes, which have further complicated the situation.
In conclusion, don’t stay here if you want to have a nice weekend.
Very nice stay with great staff
Clean, accommodated extra blanket and toothbrush without hesitation.
Loved it!
very convienent for a family affair in area.
Very nice staff
It was great. The mattress was a little too hard but otherwise all was great
Room was large and comfortable. Staff was plesant and accommodating. Breakfast varied every day and it was very good.
The room could have used an armchair for reading and more towels. Also there was only a stationary shower head. A moveable handheld shower head would have been nice.
