Motel B&B de Heek

Heel fijne accommodatie, duperschoon en mogelijkheid tot zetten van koffie of thee. Koelkast op de kamer is een enorme plus.
Fijne badkamer, goed bed!

Prima motel schoon en goede douche en goede bedden.
Wel jammer dat je in de avond eigenlijk niet terecht kan voor een drankje of zo. Eigenaren zijn er alleen voor het in en uitchecken verder niet aanwezig.

Vriendelijke ontvangst, mooie en nette kamer met alle faciliteiten. Map waaruit we keuze van een wandeling in de omgeving konden maken. Alles tiptop in orde.

Superschone en fijne accomodatie; het contact met de Heek was uitstekend en de aanwezigheid van het koelkastje en de kluis waren prettig.

Zeer functioneel, maar alles zeer net verzorgd. Rustige omgeving. Fijne badkamers. Vlotte check-in. Relax ontbijt, met bediening aan tafel - erg geäpprecieerd in tijden van Corona.

As we were staying for 5 days we wanted a quiet location
Valkenburg was in close proximity to Maastricht
Travelling as 2 couples, we required kitchen faciities
We chose Motel de Heek as they offered a studio and a room

Management have kept us informed and offered us extras prior to arriving
Checkin was easy with friendly staff
Units were clean
Grounds were exceptionally maintained and attractive
Patrick has been very helpful during our stay even chauffeured us to and from the concert
Breakfast selection was excellent
Highly recommend this friendly establishment

Just got home from three nights staying at De Heek , nice sized room with a modern bathroom . Clean warm and comfortable. We visited for the Christmas market, the hotel is some distance from the town and you need to drive in really but I knew that when I booked . Easy to get to the motorway to visit Cologne and Dusseldorf, both only an hour and a quarter away. Good breakfast and the young lady who appeared to do everything there was both friendly and helpful .
We would be happy to stay there again .

Prima kamer in een stille omgeving. Beperkte aankomsttijd. Geen vroege ontbijtmogelijkheid. Niets te beleven in de avond.

The room was very big but decor was tired and lifeless. Single beds, even though double booked. A little kitchenett provided with kettle, but would have been nice if some tea and coffee were provided for when one just arrived. Don't really want to purchase these for just a two or three night stay. Staff were lovely, couldn't complain about this aspect. Location, read it is a few mins from centre of town, we found it to be more like 30-40 min. walk. Towels were very thin, discolored, and small. Breakfast was very adequate, can't complain about this. So in colclusion if you are looking for a cheap and cheerful place to stay for a night or two, this is OK, but if you want any luxury then give this a miss.

Simple but clean and friendly

If you're looking for budget accommodation in Valkenburg with free onsite parking and secure storage for your bicycle or motor bike, this place is perfect for you!

Family owned and run, the motel has a nice feel to it and Guido (the owner) is always happy to help in any way he can.

OK, this place is not in the centre of Valkenburg but it is only a two minute drive away.

Breakfast is great value at 7 Euros per person. It's not the largest breakfast buffet you will have seen but everything you need is here. Nice coffee, cereals, fresh bread, boiled eggs, fruit salad, real orange juice and a nice selection of meats / cheeses.

The breakfast area has obviously been refusbished recently and it is really very nice indeed. Modern and funky!

Although the rooms were clean with comfy beds, they are quite dated (tiles from the 1970s etc). I was concerned at one point that the cieling panels were asbestos but Guido assured me these are just plasterboard panels.

I am sure Guido has plans to renovate the rooms in the near future so it will be interesting to see what happens in the coming year. There is also a disused outdoor swimming pool and a large garden which is immaculately kept. This motel has immense potential and I wish Guido and his family every success for the future.

De inrichting van de kamers is studentikoos en verouderd. De omgeving van Valkenburg maakt dat weer goed.

Sterk verouded hotel aan de rand van Valkenburg met voor wandelaars ongunstige ligging.

Sehr nette Leute, sauberes Zimmer. Alles 'very basic' und ziemlich alt, aber mehr hatte ich für den Preis auch nicht erwartet. Für knappe Budgets jederzeit zu empfehlen.

I booked at the De Heek because I wanted a low cost stay a short drive from Maastricht.

The staff were exceptionally helpful,and there were ample parking facilities,which were not readily available at other hotels in the area.the hotel is also located in a quiet country area

This hotel was conveniently located to the centre of Valkenburg and a short drive to Landgraaf and Zuid Limburg. We stayed here for a multi-day event at Megalands (concert venue in Landgraaf), and it was perfect for our needs. The rooms were clean, the kitchenette (complete with coffee maker, tea pot cups, bottle opener, wine key and refrigerator) was very useful, and the shower pressure in the bathroom was great. The room was a decent size and included a small table. It was a bit annoying to have two separate beds that did not stay together easily and the tv was very small and old, but both of these drawbacks were very minor. Finally, we were never informed that check-in is required before 8pm. When we arrived, our room was about to be given away because we did not check in until almost 9pm. There was no notice about this on our hotels.com confirmation, but as it worked out in the end, it was not a big deal.

A suitable place to stay if you are driving, but if you are relying on public transport or walking it isn't particularly convenient. It should also be noted that they expect you to check in by eight in the evening, although no mention of this is made in e-mails! And there isn't really anything to do if you do check in at that time as it is in the middle of nowhere.
