Mooie locatie, lekker bed en ontbijt. Eet ‘s avonds ergens anders.

Het bed en het ontbijt.

Cons:

Het avondeten. Het was vrij zoutloos, er stond geen zout of peper op de tafels, de porties van het hoofdgerecht waren wat aan de kleine kant, het eten was niet goed warm, de bediening was er traag.

Comfy beds in a historic building excellently located for exploring Zutphen on foot
Pros:

Excellent location within short walk from station. Quiet (clever quiet self-closing room doors). Very comfy beds. Easily adjustable air con.

Cons:

We stayed 5 nights. Most guests probably only stay for 1-2 nights. The double luxury room and bathroom were small but adequate. Room service was not included (but could have been obtained for an extra price). There was a coffee machine with 4 coffee pods, and an electric kettle + 2 teabags. Breakfast buffet was adequate (short on fresh fruit) but in the busy weekend temporarily ran out of some foods (soft boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, rolls), crockery and available tables, so some guests took their trays into the adjoining "corridor lounge". The hotel has no lounge. It's possible to sit outside in the entrance courtyard, but then one is expected to order refreshments.
The signposting of rooms on floor 2 should be improved. Guests should not be expected to exit the lift and then immediately look up over their left shoulder to the sign high up on the wall to the right of the lift door to find the route to some rooms.

Het is er allemaal in orde. Prettig personeel, airconditioning (bij de huidige hittegolf onmisbaar). uitstekend ontbijt. Mooi gelegen terras op de binnenplaats. Monumentale setting. Een beschaafde atmosfeer, maar geen kak

Cons:

Ik vond mijn kamer op de begane grond wat aan de kleine kant. En je kont keren in de douche ging al helemaal moeizaam.

Drie dagen echt van een vakantiegevoel genoten.
Pros:

Goed onderhouden gebouw,sfeervolle inrichting. Mooie kamers met weinig geluidsoverlast. Goed gezonde matrassen. Betrokken en vriendelijk personeel.

Cons:

In de ronde om een goed aanbod van het ontbijt te nuttigen kon ik het dienblad nergens kwijt. Mis een rand waar je met dienblad langs het aanbod schuift.
