It was enjoyable
Pros:

The location is good, right next to the train station and close to everything, the breakfast is good...we liked it overall.

Cons:

The Asian woman with glasses at the reception desk on the day we arrived showed no interest in checking in; no "hello" or "welcome"... nothing at all. She just opened the screen for us to check in and left, and she was just as rude when we checked out. Another female employee was very helpful and witnessed her behavior. Honestly, when you're arriving in a country with excitement, positive behavior from the person you're interacting with is important, and this is a huge negative point for a hotel.

The staff was friendly; the room had a good size.

Cons:

The room was not clean; the bed yes, but otherwise everywhere dust and the floor had not been cleaned before we arrived and it was not cleaned during our stay; there were nail clippings on the floor when we arrived, and they were there when we left. The bathroom sink stank like mold, very strong unpleasant smell. A change of room was not possible according to a staff member. When we arrived, we had to run the water for a while, as the water was coming out brown. First and certainly last time I would choose that hotel or any hotel of the Clayton group.

Pros:

hotel very good perfect venue for Cardiff.

Cons:

Aircon not working no fans in the room no apology from staff spent very uncomfortable night in a no air room .I have asthma and coughed most of the night .
l know the weather is extreme but at least communicate the facts .I won't go there again .

Simply superb
Pros:

Everything. The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. The room was excellent especially having air con as it was 31degrees outside. Food was superb with a varied and good value menu. Breakfast was top notch too. Couldn’t recommend it more

Far too hot and poor air conditioning
Pros:

Great location.

Cons:

Due to the hot weather the room was unbearable to sleep in. The aircon was set to 18 degrees which simply wasn’t good enough for the heat that had been blaring in the full length windows all day. I asked for a fan from reception but there were non left available. I didn’t sleep a wink and really disappointed it ruined my stay

Would stay here again, just hope they resolve the water leak/ issue
Pros:

Lovely Hotel, nice clean rooms, comfortable beds. Perfect central location.

Cons:

No hot running water, so was not able to have a shower, think there was an issue.
