This was an absolute gem of a place for our second trip to Australia. We stayed here during our Western Australia trip, flying in from Perth to Exmouth. The staff here were really welcoming and nice, also helpful, warning us about the bore hole water that is salt water (good to know when you're showering). The villa we stayed in was perfect for us and spacious too with a nice outdoor veranda for the evenings.
There are several bars/restaurants here with delicious fresh food that are reasonably priced too.
The beach is just yards away and the reef is so close to the beach it's amazing.
Have camped before and always wanted to stay here instead. Yes it’s expensive and the rooms are a bit dated but the staff are great, the facilities (pool restaurant and bar) are lovely. Definitely recommend for a family when visiting coral bay
Location: 2 full days are enough. The area is easy accessible and there are some restaurants and tours. The hotel is at the end of the village and we had an amazing view.
Room: nice view, clean maintenance and a comfortable bed.
Bathroom: spacious and nice.
Service: friendly
The room itself was ok but the hotel rooms are sandwiched between two enormous caravan parks, so be warned! The rooms have brackish salt water showers and only one drinking water tap by the kitchenette sink. Laundry facilities are charged and communal, offering a salt water wash (unbelievable!) as well as fresh water. Also a first for us was a written warning about mice in the room and mouse traps placed in the outdoor corridors! Hot water is dangerously hot so be very careful when showering. There are three low standard places to eat scattered around the whole site but nothing like a decent restaurant or professional service. We would not return.
Great location in a place of natural beauty. Good staff and relaxed atmosphere especially in the evenings
Park has great location across from the beach. Roads are sealed & clean amenities. We had to swap sites during our 5 night stay. We were more than happy to be off our first site by 10, but to be told we had to exit the park and would not be told our new site until 11 due to ‘procedures’ lacks common sense. Our rego was taken when we arrived -it should be available to staff daily checking sites vacated /relocated campers. A new system/procedure so staff allow campers swapping sites to do so at 10, rather than campers wasting hours waiting to swap sites would save angst for campers and reception staff alike. Procedures that equal common sense would be appreciated.
We’ll thought out resort positioned well to suit the site, provide magical guest outlook and take advantage of chilled sunsets. Happy hour daily at the bar and a great atmosphere to watch the Women’s World Cup. Comfortable and clean rooms. Friendly staff
Good sized room but a bit impractical with one bed in sitting area. Good kitchen and nice patio area. A bit dated bathroom Babur shower effective. Very close to beach and facilities of coral bay. Family friendly. Nice poo and bar area. WiFi a bit slow and needed to put in code all the time.
Great location, reception staff & Toby the manager were so helpful in arranging a move to a quieter room which made our stay very enjoyable.
Came to get away from the hustle and bustle and boy did it deliver.
Had an end room which had the best view in Coral Bay.
The room was simple, clean and comfortable, and more than enough to have a relaxing ten day stay.
The food at the resort was affordable and enough variety to satisfy the fussiest eaters. The bar was also good with reasonable prices.
Easy access to the beach and snorkelling across the road.
Its going to be demolished in October and I really hope it the new place doesnt alter the totally relaxed beach vibe.
Unfortunately there is very limited accommodation in Coral Bay unless you are staying on a camp site. Development in the area is thankfully restricted but this is the downside.
The setting of the resort is lovely and it's a great place for families. Our stay there coincided with a holiday weekend so the resort was full of people with young children. We were just a bit unfortunate to be next to a family with four very young children for the duration of our stay.
The outside of the accommodation on the ground floor has little privacy so it isn't a relaxing place to sit if there are children running up and down. However, there is plenty of space to sit out on the grass which is actually a much nicer spot. The view of the bay is lovely and it's a good place to watch the wonderful sunsets. (It's also well worth going up to the viewing point on the sand dune for the sunset.)
The rooms on the upper floor have enclosed private balconies - one of these would probably be a better choice for a couple. Alternatively, if you wish for a bit more privacy on the ground floor, maybe you could ask for a room on the end of a block.
The accommodation itself was fine - quite spacious with a big fridge freezer and decent cooking facilities. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom also a good size.
The bar was relaxed and friendly, as you'd expect. Beware of the "Happy Hour" prices - it's not too clear what's included so it's worth checking.
Just for information - the very helpful lady in the tourist office (restricted hours) told us that snorkelling in the bay wasn't good due to dead coral but she recommended some good sites not too far away. You do need to deflate your tyres and you can do this at the Ampol petrol station. The pressure gauge wasn't working when we were there but we were able to buy one in a store.
We'd also recommend the walk up to skeleton beach. A wonderful opportunity to watch the rays at low tide!
Some rooms too close to the bar and often noisy patrons in the evening. Easy and short walk to beach, good views.
Watching Sunset from resort
The rooms were so clean. Staff friendly.
Beautiful spot coral bay is stunning and this location is perfect right near the beach and the best sunsets! Staff are friendly and it has a real holiday relaxed atmosphere. Average basic accommodation but has everything you need and would come back again great place! Recommend it. Thanks for a great escape to a hidden gem in WA
An excellent location. The motel is old and dated but clean. It’s a great location and the restaurant is quite good. However, the neighbor next unit snored all night, so I had to wear noise canceling headphone to sleep which was pain. Otherwise the accommodation was comfortable.
Great location opposite beach ,walk to sharks nursery day trips to snorkel on reef excellent would definitely return
Lovely location with excellent staff. About to undergo a complete renovation. Great access to snorkeling off the beach, town is quite walkable.
Resort itself was amazing. Beach and dolphins
Bar & restaurant were very good and service.
Public areas around our accomodation and pool area adjacent to bar was untidy and dirty.
Views from the property.
Family friendly.
No negatives.
