Location is fine for uber pickups. Restaurant area not comfortable to spend an evening with limited choice of drinks. Bed comfy but room dated. Carpet hadn't been cleaned as peanuts on carpet beside bed! Electric mirror in bathroom was damaged but did work. Staff in restaurant/bar area extremely friendly and an asset to the hotel. Reception staff not very welcoming and appeared to make you feel like you were pestering them, not just the once but every time i asked a question. This hilton is not to the usual standard, however I wouldn't tell people to stay away, only to not expect the usual Hilton standard.
Another hotel that we thought was a bit out of the way but we were only 20 minute walk from Capitol Hill, and the Noma Metro station was only a couple of minutes walk away for areas further afield. The room was really comfy and had all we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff could have been a bit more helpful but they were kept busy
Hotel and staff nice valet parking but perfer self secure in/out parking plus Hot tub was cold hardly any bubbles etc pool was warmer and no clock radio in room plus stayed on 5th floor and sign said ice machine on 4th and 6th not on my floor food was expensive but of course at location and 12 oz ribeye 39.00 then two drinks added to 72.60 without tip also would be good if room included hotel info quide
Easy check-in, baggage handler at door, a real pleasure after long flight from Hawaii. Restaurant gives large portions of whatever you order, try the fish tacos.
A grotty hotel not up to usual Hilton standards. The main issue was the lack of cleanliness in all of public areas.
The staff were friendly and my room was clean if tired.
Pretty much what you would expect. I like that it is near a metro stop. I recommend getting a room far away from the elevator. I checked in early and just dropped my bags in the room and made a quick phone call. I remember thinking, "Wow, it must be very windy out," then forgot about it. When I returned hours later, I realized the elevator makes a really loud whooshing sound that sounds like a strong wind and my room was right across from it. I asked to change rooms and was glad they could accommodate one farther away. It had a leaking bathroom faucet, but I didn't mention it because it seemed to be difficult to get me the first switched room. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, so it wasn't an issue for me.
The business center was helpful and allowed me to get the copies of documents I needed before my meeting.
Great service! Had a problem with the first room I had chosen and the manager Herman made it right for me fast. I appreciate that!
We stayed at this hotel as a group of college students on a business trip. We had difficulties checking in due to the way our school booked the rooms, but Lyle Ochoa, the front office manager, was so helpful and understanding. We truly appreciated how he worked with us to get everything sorted, and he understood that we were young students trying to figure things out on our own. You can trust that he will get things sorted for you, and the rest of the front desk staff was accommodating and kind as well. Thank you for making what could have been a very stressful experience go much smoother.
I stayed here three nights on a business trip and would do so again. I like the Hilton Garden Inns quite a bit and this was was basically on par with the others, though a few features had some minor scratches. The big plus was it's just a block from a quick Metro trip downtown and now you can just tap a credit card rather than having to buy a pass. The downside is I saw police blocking off a street for an arrest and another confrontation with police. I never felt unsafe but it wasn't what I'd want for a family vacation. Parking was also a bit pricey.
While the hotel was clean and staff friendly, one of the main attractions for us was the hot tub/pool. This was the first hotel I'd been in where the pool was warmer than the hot tub. Mentioned it to the staff and it doesn't seem anything was done about it.
Rooms are nice, bed is comfortable and amenities are decent. The staff were very friendly and most helpful. The pool/hot tub closed a little early but overall I was well satisfied with my stay.
Great location and night staff (security and front desk) were so friendly and helpful. Room was not bed size paid for (queen instead of king) but no others available. Room was still great accommodation, just wish this would have been disclosed. Having water foundations in hotel would be useful to improve eco-friendliness.
Great
The entire staff was amazing.. from Candice at the front desk, to Millie at breakfast. We were extremely pleased with the service and kindness of the staff.
Comfortable room, very kind and welcoming staff at front desk and for our room. Excellent location with Metro close, grocery store basically next door, and nearby dining. Only downsides were one elevator in operation the first night, pool closes early, and treadmills in fitness center were not in good shape.
Herman made this stat worth it. He was kind, professional, and accommodating to a customer’s needs. The restaurant staff was as fun and professional!
Property was nice! Just didn’t get the room I booked!
