Excellent stay, sad to leave, highly recommend if going to Porto.
Pros:

The rooms were big, clean and comfortable. Definitely a 5 star hotel. Would highly recommend. Location is excellent, right next door to San Bento train station and close to a lot of the sights. Walking distance within locations and restaurants around.

Pros:

Bom pequeno almoço. Escolha variada e trabalhadores muito atenciosos. O horário de abertura e encerramento também está equilibrado.

Cons:

O hotel é bom e muito bem localizado.

Cons:

Tive problema no primeiro dia com a porta do box que não fechava adequadamente e inundava o banheiro. Tive dificuldade de resolver com a equipe do hotel, que a meu ver não tratou a situação com a prioridade que eu gostaria. Felizmente, o gerente que estava atendo, resolveu o problema nos trocando de quarto. Para o gerente dou nota 10, mas o hotel deixou um pouco a desejar nessa questão

Great hotel, but pricey
Pros:

Excellent location, beautiful hotel - walking to many points of interest.
Requested a quiet room and got one - so happy for that.
Staff was extremely accommodating and welcoming.
Room was somewhat small for the price and breakfast was not included.
No complaints other than the very expensive price.

Perfect Location/Excellent Accomodations and Service!
Pros:

This hotel was selected by our upcoming Scenic River Cruise company as their partner for us to stay at for 2 nights prior to our Douro River cruise. From the most delightful checkin experience, all the way to the checkout, we truly enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast buffet in their dining room was very plentiful and tasty. We also had evening wine drinks at their inhouse fancy bar and lounge. The evening bartenders were delightful and friendly. Most important was our 2 night stay in luxurious accomodations. The bed was so so poofy and comfy/ shower and basin water pressure and temperatures were fantastic. The view from our room was so nice as we could view the city centre. The staff at this hotel are extremely professional and obviously very well trained in ensuring their customers' hospitality expectations. Thank you for making our 2 night stay in Porto so wonderful!!

Great Experience at the Intercontinental Porto
Pros:

The hotel is beautiful and peaceful with a great location. The staff are super nice, friendly, warm, and attentive. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast in the Astoria Restaurant each day, the options and quality were very good, adults paid full price and the kids under 9 were free.

Not great
Pros:

Breakfast was not good. The buffet had a warm bar section that was not warm at all the first day we were there and barely warm the second day. The hot dishes were okay but warm not hot. The black coffee tasted like cheap instant coffee and the cappuccino foam was very dense. Bread knife was dangerously dull. We avoided doing any other meals at the hotel because of it. Back courtyard area weirdly faces a chinese EV branded area and has dead olive trees in pots. Not much to look at. Room was okay, and had a nicer view out the front of the building. Only 1 chair at a desk so no where to sit together as a couple and relax. Shower was small but the bathtub was a good size. We enjoyed the couples massage that we got, it was the highlight of the stay. However the hotel gym is weirdly located in the same hallway so after checking in and changing into robes you're walking by people in workout clothes to the massage room.
