Lovely Hotel in a Great Location
Pros:

This is a really lovely hotel in a great location for visiting Porto. The rooms are large and comfortable, and we enjoyed meals for breakfast and a couple of dinners in the very nice restaurant there. The staff at the front desk were friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended!

Perhaps one of my most favorite stays anywhere, the location, the incredible staff, the delicious meals & wonderful rooms..the history!! I can't imagine staying anywhere else when visiting Porto..I'm still relishing my time there, so looking forward to returning to the Palacio Das Cardosas.. Many, many thanks...

Stunning luxury stay in centre of porto
Pros:

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The staff are so helpful friendly and knowledgeable. From check in with jesseca to door staff like Diego we had a perfect stay. The breakfast food was beautiful and the serving staff were so knowledgeable and friendly.as a coeliac needing a gluten free diet I was well catered for. Our hotel room was pristine and beautiful.our room was tended too at least twice daily.the housekeeping team are the best Iv seen. The attention to detail was next level even cables where tidied! The hotel is perfect for location to explore a wonderful city

Amazing trip hotel was fantastic
Pros:

From start to finish our trip was exceptional. When we checked in we where greeted by the lovely maria on reception who greeted us with a huge smile and made us feel welcome as soon as we got through the door. It was our 20th wedding anniversary and when we got to the room there was a lovely card and cake awaiting us. The room was beautifully presented and spacious with the comfiest bed and pillows ive ever laid down on. The hotel staff maria and diego on reception and jessica on bar where so friendly and pleasent throughout our stay and are a credit to your hotel their hospitality was excellent. The girl on the breakfast desk was also amazing ( sadly didnt get her name ) my wife is colieac and she made sure her dietary requirements where well taken care of every day which made starting each day a whole lot easier and stress free. Would highly recommend hotel was beautiful and very close to everything the location is great.

Noisy hotel
Pros:

The room was very noisy and we didn’t have one night good sleep.
The room service was one of the worst I had experienced with IHG.

Excellent 5 star hotel with great location
Pros:

Wonderful hotel! Bell staff, reception, and waitstaff all excellent and customer-focused. Appreciated the excellent English as well. Room was well appointed and bathroom spacious with bathtub, shower, two sinks, and separate room for commode and bidet.

Excellent stay but a bit of noise
Pros:

It’s a beautiful hotel, in a great location and easily accessible. I loved the city. A very positive experience. The atmosphere is let down by the roadworks on Avenida dos Aliados, which unfortunately means there’s a bit of noise.

I’ll definitely consider staying there again in the future.

Avoid the rooms facing the front
Pros:

At the time of booking (2 days prior to arrival), I contacted your centre and was on the phone for approx 50 minutes. My sole request was to be allocated a room facing the rear of the property, as I anticipated that rooms at the front would be noisy and I am a light sleeper.

The operator placed me on hold to liaise with the hotel and subsequently confirmed that a rear-facing room would be arranged. However, upon arrival, I was given the exact opposite, as the hotel advised that no rear-facing rooms were available.

Although I was moved to a rear-facing room the following day, on the first night I only managed around 3 hours of interrupted sleep.

Very convenient location + very comfortable + wonderful staff
Pros:

Perfect location for exploring the city, whether for sightseeing or dining.
The staff are all very friendly and professional, and very comfortable place to stay.
The breakfast restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and serves delicious food.

Cons:

The shampoo/conditioner/soap in the bathroom are placed out of easy reach, which is inconvenient.

Great hotel with stupid policies
Pros:

Great centred location

Cons:

Charge me 5 eur for a bottle of water, what 5 star hotel wants to charge and scams their guest of an additional 5 eur per bottle of water. Only giving 1 free one a day
