Amazing hotel
Pros:

The rooms have amazing views, the food is great, the beds are really soft, I love the interior design of the rooms and the lobby, they're just as good as other branches over the world. I had a great time.

Angelo and Amanda are great people who treated me with respect. I really look forward to coming next time.

Pros:

Rarely go to Hongqiao these days but have found the perfect antidote for airport mundanity here. Pop over to the Hilton a few yards from departures and have a wonderful club sandwich n beer in relaxed surroundings for a tenner ! Quality value sensibility all rolled into one !

Disappointing: An "International" Brand in Name Only (Language Barriers & Poor Service)
Pros:

I stayed here in January 2026, expecting the standard service associated with the Hilton brand. Unfortunately, the reality was shocking and frustrating. This hotel does NOT deserve to be called "International."

1. Severe Language Barrier: Communication was exhausting. Aside from the Concierge, almost no one—including Front Desk and Breakfast staff—could speak or understand basic English. I had to rely entirely on translation apps for every simple request. For a 5-star international chain in Shanghai, this is unacceptable.

2. Service Failures: The service standards have dropped significantly.

No support: No one offered to help with luggage upon arrival.

Housekeeping: Toiletries were not restocked during my stay. When I requested them, my request was ignored.

Management: Simple issues escalated unnecessarily because regular staff could not communicate, forcing me to call a manager just to get basic problems solved.

Verdict: If you do not speak Chinese, avoid this hotel. It operates like a local budget hotel with a Hilton price tag. There are much better options in the Hongqiao area that actually welcome international guests.
