A very good hotel let down by the restaurant.
Pros:

The room was very clean and comfortable, with everything you’d expect from a good hotel. The staff were both friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Although the menu in their Coppa restaurant was varied, interesting and with a good nod to healthy eating, some of the actual dishes weren’t as great as they sounded. The wine choice was surprisingly expensive.

Loved the setting of this hotel
Pros:

Magnificent setting in a pretty English village which suited the peace and quiet. Walks along the Thames were a bonus

Cons:

The floor tiles in the ensuite had lifted and were a bit of a trip hazard.
There were holes in the sheets which I would not have expected from this style of hotel.

Great stay at The Great House
Pros:

I stayed for 2 nights in a biggy riverside room, it had lovely views of the river, a huge comfortable bed and a nice shower room. The bar and restaurant area in the Coppa Club was very attractive and the ambience was buzzing but not too loud. All the food and drink I had was excellent. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The parking was busy but there were spaces on both evenings of my stay.

Cons:

Sonning Bridge is a single lane bottleneck, but Sonning is so beautiful it’s worth putting up with the delays at busy times

Hotel itself was very good, but the Restaurant needs to improve.
Pros:

Room was comfy, clean & well presented. All the Staff were excellent.

Cons:

The evening meal wasn't as good as I was expecting. My croquettes were good, as was the Calamari, but several friends said their chicken starters were not wonderful.
My Lamb chops were a bit tough & the Eton Mess was dry & therefore wasn't very messy.
Consequently, I didn't have breakfast the following morning, nor did any of the others I was with, bar 1.

Great hotel and location. Very comfortable stay with friendly satff and good food.
Pros:

The room was excellant. we booked a river view room. The view of the river was a bit limited but a very nice comfortable room with good facilities. Breakfast was also very good and the staff friendly and helpful. We attended a concert at the Mill and the location was ideal as just a short walk over the bridge.
