Logis Auberge Le Colombien - Hôtel Restaurant

The hotel is an excellent example of small country hotel , in this case it happens to be only 2 minutes on foot from the Chateau de Villandry whose garden is visually stunning and almost one of the wonders of the world . It is efficient, clean, tidy and well maintained ( despite being several centuries old) it simply looks the part .The staff were attentive and professional. The food was excellent and not expensive. We took the option of bed breakfast and evening meal for a set price when we booked , which on face value looked like it was a weekend offer , but it’s any day of the week .
I have nothing negative to say about the hotel, it reminded me of many excellent rural logis de France hotels I have stayed over the last 40 years offering a certain look with a good French evening meal.

We based in this hotel our visit to the Castle of Villandry (very nice both, the garden and the building), being at less than 500 m of distance and being in the right position to split the trip returning from Mont St. Michel ot our town in north of Italy.
It is also close to Tours.
The hotel is special, being in a small old building; our room was under roof with a special shape of the bathroom (making a little bit complex the use of the shower ...).
Room and bathroom perfectly serviced (e.g. with hair dryer) and enough spacious.
We didn't use the braekfast.
Free parking immediately in front of the hotel.

Pleasant property in great location near Chateau. Served a very good breakfast, but meal in Restaurant only average.
Enjoyed the bar service very much with charming staff.

Great small independent hotel near the chateau in Villandry. Good food and service, for both evening meal and breakfast buffet. Easy parking opposite in public car park. Pleasant courtyard for evening meal. Quiet and pretty village with other facilities and tourist office. Easy walk to the chateau.

Sejour tres agreable. La chambre etait vaste et bien equipee, tres propre. Petit dejeuner copieux et bon. Nous avons egalement pris le repas du soir au restaurant. Simple mais bon

We were tired after biking all day and had a very comfortable stay at Le Colombien. We ate dinner and breakfast and lunch there and all the food was delicious. Highly recommend if you are looking for an affordable but nice place to stay.

Toller Ausgangspunkt zur Besichtung vom Schloss von Villandry, die Auswahl beim Frühstücksbüffet war eher mäßig. Für eine Nacht absolut ausreichend.

Hotel Le Colombian has nice large rooms and the location is perfect for Villandry. It is just up from the main street through town and a few yards from the Chateau and gardens. The staff were helpful and we really enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant and breakfast the next day. They did not have air con but gave us a fan for our rooms to help keep things cool. Also, WiFi is included and coffee/tea service in the rooms as well. This is a nice place to stay!

Super small boutique hotel in the centre of the village. The lady on reception was super efficient. The room was large for the family and had fans to keep us cool.

We had visited Villandry last year during our holiday in The Loire and decided to stay overnight on our way to The Dordogne this year. The Columbien is located in centre of village and a short walk to chateau and gardens (definitely worth a visit). Hotel is a bit like a 'rabbit warren'. Rooms are adequate but no air con only fans. We dined off the a la carte menu and food was very good. Staff attentive and very pleasant. Hotel also has a brasserie offering quicker bites. There is no parking on site but public car park opposite is free. Overall, a decent hotel, just needs a bit of an update.
